US President Donald Trump announced an ultimatum on Iran's power plants and energy infrastructure, deferring it by 10 days to April 6. It sounds like an intended cooling, but then U.S. forces bombed Iran's heavy-water nuclear facility, a yellowcake mill for uranium processing, and even two of Iran's largest steel plants.
Trump confidently stated at his Miami event that Iran has been completely destroyed, noting that Iran is currently pleading for an agreement, even willing to send eight oil tankers in exchange for negotiation space, and renamed the Strait of Hormuz as the Strait of Trump.
But Iran's top officials responded with a retaliatory response, saying they could not tolerate the extreme pressure of the US to engage in talks and have not yet decided whether to return to the truce
