[Tiger Poll] Which Big Bank Is Your Best Bet This Earnings Season?

Wall Street earnings season is kicking off—and the Big 6 U.S. banks are once again leading the charge.

JPMorgan, Citigroup, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley are all set to report their Q4 results this week. Analysts are generally bullish, expecting strong earnings growth driven by trading rebounds, investment banking recovery, and better capital return trends.

📆 Earnings Schedule

📊 What to Watch

  • $JPMorgan Chase(JPM)$ : EPS expected at $4.99, with +29.3% YoY net profit growth. Despite a recent expense warning, analysts say expectations are now “de-risked.” JPM beats estimates 82% of the time.

  • $Citigroup(C)$ : Forecast EPS of $2.40, up +8.3% YoY. TD Cowen says net interest income and balance sheet momentum could carry over into 2026. Citi shares have gained after the last 4 earnings reports.

  • $Bank of America(BAC)$ : Expected EPS of $0.96, with +15% YoY growth. Hasn’t missed earnings since Q2 2022. HSBC just upgraded it to “Buy,” calling it attractively priced.

  • $Wells Fargo(WFC)$ : EPS expected at $1.67, with +25.1% net profit growth. Focus on risk control and credit quality remains steady.

  • $Goldman Sachs(GS)$ : EPS of $11.35, slightly down YoY (-4.9%), but still one of the most profitable banks. Strong trading and IB performance could surprise.

  • $Morgan Stanley(MS)$ : EPS forecast at $2.40, up +8.3% YoY. Wealth management and IB momentum could make MS the dark horse this season.

$Morgan Stanley(MS)$ has just increased bonuses for its bank staff by about 20% with record revenues. Revenue jumped on outsized gains in equity trading, prime brokerage and wealth management. It should be the best bet for this earning season!🚀🚀🚀Thanks @Tiger_Earnings @TigerStars @Tiger_comments @Tiger_SG @1PC Thanks for the invite🍀

All the big US banks are so sloppy, constantly lobbying to have rules repealed... the biggest culprit of the 2008 financial recession and yet everyone never learns, consumers, investors, the banks themselves (and led by a government now that doesn't have a serious concept of how to govern)

🌟🌟🌟I vote $Citigroup(C)$ as it is undervalued compared to the other 5 big banks.  Citi currently has the lowest forward P/E ratio of 11.9x among the 6 largest US banks.

Analysts view Citi as a value and recovery story with potential upside if its restructuring efforts succeed.

Surprisingly Citi was the best performing major bank of 2025, rallying 66%.

For dividend investors, Citi has a nice juicy dividend yield of 2.04%.
