I made an additional investment in AMD following Bank of America’s reaffirmed Buy rating despite a price target cut to $260. BofA highlighted 2026 as the midpoint of a decade-long shift toward AI-optimized IT infrastructure, which aligns with AMD’s growing role in data center CPUs, GPUs, and AI accelerators. While near-term volatility may persist as investors reassess AI returns and hyperscaler spending, this risk appears cyclical. Longer term, the expansion of AI factories and LLM development should support sustained demand, making current weakness an attractive accumulation opportunity.
