I’ve just watched Noodles & Company discover that comfort food offers very little comfort when compliance comes knocking.

$NDLS has received a Nasdaq delisting notice, a reminder that exchanges care less about flavour profiles and far more about balance sheet resilience. Falling below minimum listing requirements is not a branding issue, it’s a capital markets problem, and the clock now matters more than the menu.

From a structural standpoint, this has been slowly boiling over. Weak traffic trends, margin compression, and persistent cost pressure have strained liquidity to the point where momentum has snapped. When capital discipline softens, the market doesn’t taste test. It simply removes the plate.
