Amazon announced it would launch a pilot program in Philadelphia and its headquarters in Seattle, where it is located, to provide half an hour delivery service for hundreds of daily household items, including some fresh foods and non-prescription medicines. The company said in a statement on Monday that the service will be delivered through specialized small distribution facilities. The delivery fee starts at $13.99, and Prime members can enjoy a discounted price of $3.99.
