From my point of view, Meta's $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$
At the same time, I'm aware that the earnings dip and the debt issuance did shake confidence. The post-earnings gap is still sitting there as a psychological overhang, and the question is whether Meta has enough tailwinds to close it. For me, it really depends on whether the company can show clearer monetisation progress in AI-driven advertising and Reels, along with some discipline on costs. If fundamentals stabilize, the stock has a decent chance to reclaim lost ground before year-end.
In terms of valuation, I actually see Meta as one of the more reasonably priced names in the mega-cap tech space right now. Compared to peers trading at much richer multiples, Meta looks relatively attractive, especially given its strong free cash flow profile. The market punished it quite heavily after earnings, but that also means the bar for the next quarter is lower. If Meta can deliver even modest upside surprises, the stock could re-rate quickly.
Have I bought the dip? Yes—I'm comfortable accumulating on weakness because I see long-term value in Meta's ecosystem and its dominance in social platforms. I'm not expecting an immediate surge, but I do see a favorable risk-reward setup at these levels. The combination of lower PE, improving operational metrics, and strong engagement trends gives me confidence to stay invested.
As for the next target price, I'm leaning toward a gradual move back toward the pre-earnings levels as a realistic objective. A full gap fill is possible if market conditions remain supportive and tech sentiment continues recovering. Meta isn't the high-flying outperformer this year, but that's exactly why I think the risk of downside is more limited—and why I'm comfortable holding and letting the thesis play out.
