As I look at Alibaba's $Alibaba(BABA)$  $Alibaba(09988)$   recent performance and the questions posed, I'd consider taking profit at $170 as my near-term price target. The company's consecutive victories across AI, cloud, and food delivery, coupled with institutions raising the target price to $190, suggest strong momentum. However, I think $190 is possible but might come with a pullback first before rebounding, so locking in gains at $170 feels like a prudent move for now.

Regarding Alibaba's self-developed chips and their impact on China's AI and semiconductor ecosystem, I see this as a game-changer. By partially replacing Nvidia's $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$  products, Alibaba and Baidu $Baidu(BIDU)$   are driving innovation and reducing dependency on foreign technology. This could strengthen China's domestic semiconductor industry over time, potentially leading to more competitive AI solutions and a robust local supply chain, which I'm excited about as a long-term investor.

On the question of momentum, Alibaba's success across multiple sectors—AI, cloud, and food delivery—definitely catches my eye. This diversified growth makes it a compelling case, and even at $150, I'd still view it as a strong buy. The raised target price to $190 by institutions reinforces my confidence in its upward trajectory, and I believe the company's strategic moves will continue to pay off.

That said, I remain long-term bullish on Alibaba despite the potential for short-term fluctuations. The self-developed chips and expanding market presence signal a solid foundation for future growth. While I might take profit at $170, I'm not planning to exit entirely—any pullback could be a chance to add to my position, especially if it heads toward $190 later.

For now, my plan is to aim for $170, watch for a possible pullback, and stay invested for the long haul, given Alibaba's promising outlook.

As a retail investor, I focus mainly on the US and Singapore markets, combining a mix of technical trading and long-term investing strategies. I enjoy analyzing charts, spotting patterns, and making calculated moves based on both market sentiment and fundamentals. • I would guess there will be some sellers at $160. Once that is cleared, BABA should rocket higher.
