Citron Research just announced a short call on #Palantir
OpenAI’s recent employee share sale valued the company at $500B, with projected 2026 revenue of $29.6B → Forward P/S = 16.9x.
Wall Street expects Palantir’s 2026 revenue at $5.6B. Using OpenAI’s multiple, Palantir’s fair value should be about $95B.
But Palantir’s market cap is already $412B+ — meaning its “fair” stock price should be closer to $40.
OpenAI is actually growing revenue faster than Palantir, and Citron argues Palantir’s real rival is Databricks (still private).
Palantir currently trades at the highest valuation multiple in the S&P 500. Stocks can stay irrationally priced for a long time, but this gap is huge.
Also, institutional ownership is relatively low compared to other SaaS names — so shorting means going head-to-head with retail bulls.
