$Alphabet(GOOGL)$ πΊπ₯π³ Gap Fill Power Play: GOOGL Breaks Out as Whales Go All-In π³π₯πΊ
Iβm extremely bullish on $GOOGL after a textbook bullish engulfing close and massive whale conviction into 08/15 $202.50C. $2.8M in sweep premiums are now in the green. Alphabet crushed earnings last week, with YouTube alone pulling $9.8B in ad revenue and capturing 12.8% of daily US TV time, well ahead of Netflix. That business alone could be worth more than $500B.
Iβm impressed by the strength of this breakout. Weβve seen a major support/resistance flip at $195, and GOOGL is now moving inside a massive weekly gap that fills at $206.50. Above $198 and we target $203 short-term, then $212+ in blue-sky mode. Weekly MACD is strong, RSI(6) sits at 80.29, and price has reclaimed MA10, MA20, and MA30. The 4H chart shows clean alignment through all EMA stacks and multiple squeezes firing on Keltner plus Bollinger overlays. Volume spiked on the move.
Options flow confirms institutional aggression. More than 14K calls hit for 08/15, including heavy sweeps at $200 and $202.50, with IV rising to 32β33%. Historical bid/ask positioning is 65/41 call-favoured. The put/call ratio is crushed down to 0.25, and short interest remains moderate at 10.59% with 4.67 days to cover.
Iβm tracking real macro context too. Alphabetβs YouTube now faces Australiaβs teen social media ban reversal, setting up a legal standoff. Still, $GOOGL holds its edge. Wells Fargoβs $187 PT looks outdated compared to the Streetβs $215.18 average. ARK Invest just bought $35.1M worth via ARKW, showing tech ETF demand is intact.
Alphabet is also front and center in the AI infrastructure arms race. It just upped its 2025 capex target to $85B. Utilities in Virginia and Ohio are demanding that Alphabet and peers help fund grid expansions to support massive data center load, with some requiring 300MW per facility. Meanwhile, Avangrid just signed a 100MW power deal with Googleβs Oregon centers to secure supply, a sign this energy tug-of-war is escalating fast.
I believe this isnβt just an earnings momentum trade. Itβs a structural revaluation as Alphabet balances its media dominance (YouTube), search moat (56% of Q2 revenue), and AI capex spree. The forward P/E of 19.85 still looks underpriced for a business of this scale. Add the ongoing breakup talk and you have multiple catalysts that unlock value either way.
Iβm positioning for $203 to $212+ on strength above $198, with a stop under $192. If this gap fills with volume, I may scale via $GGLL or ride high-delta 08/15 calls already seeing institutional traction.
Is Alphabet now the most underappreciated Magnificent Seven name despite its $2.3T cap? Or is regulatory overhang still too loud for breakout conviction?
