🌟🌟🌟Vin's Holdings $Vins Holdings(VIN.SI)$ had an impressive start to their IPO on April 15 as it rose 16.7% on their trading debut.  It is SGX's first IPO for 2025.

From its humble beginnings as a motor vehicle workshop in 1987, Vin's Holdings (VIN) has grown into a comprehensive automotive service provider offering sales, after sales services, financing and rental solutions.  That is 4 decades of growth!

Vin's Executive Director and Chairman Vincent Khong said that the strong investor response was a testament to the solid foundation that VIN has built in the industry for almost 40 years.   With this successful listing, VIN is well positioned to leverage its expertise and experience while embracing new technologies to drive the next phase of growth.

VIN's market capitalisation stood at around SGD 45.9 million on April 15.  VIN plans to allocate some of its proceeds towards enhancing its IT infrastructure and services, including developing a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with AI driven capabilities.

VIN's business model is built around 4 key segments : automobile sales, after sales services, financing and rental/leasing services.  This diversification has contributed to steady financial growth with revenue increasing from SGD 75.4 million in FY 2021 to SGD 106.4 million in FY 2023.

VIN's Gross Profit Margin improved from 10.1% to 11.3% over the same period, reflecting a successful shift towards higher margin services.  For the 9 months ended September 30 2024, the Gross Profit Margin further improved to 12.9%.

VIN has announced plans to distribute 75% of its FY2024 net profit after tax to shareholders.  This comprises of a 50% ordinary dividend and a 25% special one time dividend.

In addition to its digital transformation, VIN intends to expand its physical presence by upgrading existing showrooms and establishing new ones with a laser focus on the preowned vehicle market.  VIN 's well established market position and comprehensive service  offerings will give it a strong foundation to capitalise on these opportunities.

With the Land Transport Authority' s recent announcement of up to 20,000 additional COEs to be progressively injected from February 2025, a potential decline in COE prices is expected.  This could stimulate demand in Singapore's automotive market.
