Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) began offering charging perks in China for Model 3 and Model Y buyers, as the facelifted Model Y goes on sale and the Model 3 price increases.
Starting today, customers who purchase a Model 3 or Model Y will be able to take advantage of one of two charging benefits, the electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today on Weibo.
One of them is that customers can purchase a Cybervault home charger for RMB 1,299 ($177), which is equivalent to a 75 percent discount on the original price of RMB 5,200.

The other benefit is that customers can use Tesla's Supercharging service at a rate of RMB 1 per kWh, capped at 3 years or 5,000 kWh, after paying RMB 1,299.
Earlier today, Tesla's Chinese website listed the facelifted Model Y and began offering two variants it calls the “Launch Series,” with deliveries expected to begin in March.
The two variants include a rear-wheel-drive version that starts at RMB 263,500, and a long-range all-wheel-drive version that starts at RMB 303,500.
Compared to their predecessors, the prices of these two variants of the facelifted Model Y have gone up by 5.44 percent and 4.33 percent respectively.
The previously available performance variant with all-wheel drive is not available for the facelifted Model Y.
Additionally, Tesla today increased the prices of all three variants of the Model 3 in China by RMB 3,600 and increased the range of the sedan's entry-level version by 28 kilometers.
The Model 3 and Model Y are models that Tesla locally produces in Shanghai, delivering to Chinese customers as well as exporting to overseas markets.
For the full year 2024, Tesla China sold 916,660 vehicles, including those exported, a 3.28 percent decrease from 2023, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
