$ocbc bank(O39.SI)$ Government strategies of giving CDC vouchers are not effective to fight inflation and high costs of living. What the government should have done is to stop increasing GST, give out monthly payouts based on type of flats and income. Without the rise of GST, there won't be a domino effects on all the basic necessities increased in price. The government should also STOP INCREASING PUBLIC TRANSPORT fares and Medical costs. We feel we are being "slowly strangled" subtlely. Though we should be grateful to our government for giving our CDC and transport vouchers, but these are not enough to cover the increases daily on everything we need to use. This is causing us to go to Jb to get our basic necessities with some moving there permanently.

Reducing electricity is also required. What else can the government do? Every year after election, we "died" from regret in voting them. Wish they could STOPPED INCREASING GST, BUS FARES, ELECTRICITY AND REDUCE THEIR PAY!

The vouchers can spur people’s spending and revive the businesses. Reducing taxes won’t. This is economics 101.

We are already the lowest in the world in terms of Tramsport cost, GST etc! So what the Government did was correct !
