As of press time, Tesla's stock price fell more than 2% in pre-market trading on Tuesday.

The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund, operated by the Norwegian Central Bank Investment Management Company (NBIM), stated on its website: \"While we acknowledge that Musk has created tremendous value for the company with his vision, we are concerned about the overall size of the incentive plan, its dilutive effect, and the lack of risk mitigation measures for key personnel.\"

It is understood that Norway's sovereign wealth fund had previously voted against Musk's compensation plan. The compensation plan indicates that Musk will receive up to $1 trillion in stock awards if he meets a series of performance targets. These goals include: Tesla's market capitalization reaching $8.5 trillion, sales of 12 million vehicles, delivery of 1 million humanoid robots, deployment of 1 million self-driving taxis (Robotaxi), and increasing adjusted profits from $16.6 billion in 2024 to $400 billion.

If approved, this would be the largest compensation package in the company's history. Furthermore, if the compensation plan is approved, Musk's stake in Tesla will increase from 13% to nearly 29%, giving him greater control.

However, this compensation proposal has drawn criticism from agencies and consulting firms such as Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). ISS called on investors to vote against the plan, arguing that it was too large and lacked effective constraints.

Meanwhile, Tesla Chairman Robyn Denholm warned in a letter to consensus shareholders last week that the CEO might leave Tesla if Musk's $1 trillion compensation package is not approved.
