said the company’s planned $8 billion acquisition of Iridium Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:IRDM) is opening a new space-services opportunity — one that largely steers clear of the The company also projects an adjusted EBITDA loss of $17 million to $23 million for the quarter.\nPrice Action: Rocket Lab shares closed at $80.04 on Monday, down 2.79% and fell another 9.6% to $72.36 in Tuesday’s premarket trading, according to Benzinga Pro.\nBenzinga Edge ranks Rocket Lab in the 73rd percentile for Momentum, with the stock showing a negative short- and medium-term price trend but a positive long-term trend.\n\nDisclaimer: This content was partially produced with the help of AI tools and was reviewed and published by Benzinga editors.\n\n\n\nRead Also:\n\nRocket Lab Rebounds as Options Market Points to Volatility After Earnings\n\n\n\nPhoto courtesy: Shutterstock","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RKLX":0.6,"ROKT":0.6,"WARP":0.6,"ORBX":0.6,"RKLB":1.98,"MARS":0.6,"FSPC":0.6,"XTL":0.6,"COWG":0.6,"IRDM":1.88,"RKLZ":0.6,"DIPR":0.6}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":47,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":560779790795736,"gmtCreate":1777940842399,"gmtModify":1777940845919,"author":{"id":"4183541272550112","authorId":"4183541272550112","name":"Etel","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4183541272550112","idStr":"4183541272550112"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"loss or profit","listText":"loss or profit","text":"loss or profit","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/560779790795736","repostId":"2633964715","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2633964715","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1032215980","head_image":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/4567337cbdf294b657b1fa87c5488b48"},"pubTimestamp":1777935300,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2633964715?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2026-05-05 06:55","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Singapore's Grab Beats Revenue Estimates on Strong Delivery, Mobility Demand","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2633964715","media":"Reuters","summary":"Grab beat Wall Street expectations for first-quarter revenue on Tuesday.","content":"

May 5 (Reuters) - Singapore's Grab beat Wall Street expectations for first-quarter revenue on Tuesday, benefiting from resilient demand for its ride-hailing and food-delivery services after rolling out promotional offers and bundled features to attract more customers.

Southeast Asia's biggest ride-hailing and delivery firm has been trying to boost spending on its platform by incorporating artificial-intelligence features into its superapp and bundling its core ride-hailing, delivery and financial services.

With oil and gas prices soaring due to the war in the Middle East, the company has also promoted more affordable offerings, including a "saver" option, to woo customers grappling with higher costs of living.

About 35% of its users are on the "saver" program, opting for cheaper deliveries, CFO Peter Oey told Reuters.

"It is a very good balance between the price-sensitive customers and for those who are less price-sensitive. (NASDAQ:IRDM) is opening a new space-services opportunity — one that largely steers clear of the consumer broadband market dominated by Space Exploration Technologies Corp (NASDAQ:SPCX) CEO Elon Musk’s Starlink and Jeff Bezos’ Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) Leo.\nRocket Lab Is Taking a Different Route From Starlink\nSpeaking during Rocket Lab’s second-quarter earnings call, Beck was asked whether Iridium’s network could eventually be expanded into broadband services.\nHis answer was cautious but revealing.\n\"It is the wrong kind of spectrum for broadband,\" Beck said, referring to Iridium’s L-band spectrum. \"I’ve learned to never say never.\"\nBeck then pointed to Musk and Bezos, saying competing in broadband would be a significant challenge because \"the two most wealthiest people in the world are going after that.\"\nRather than enter the increasingly crowded satellite broadband market, Rocket Lab sees opportunities in areas where Iridium’s spectrum offers different advantages.\n\n\n\nRead Also:\n\nRocket Lab Snags $397 Million Space Force Contract\n\n\n\nIridium Deal Gives Rocket Lab More Than Satellites\nRocket Lab announced in June that it agreed to acquire Iridium in a cash-and-stock deal valued at approximately $8 billion. The transaction is expected to close in mid-2027, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.\nThe acquisition would give Rocket Lab access to Iridium’s 66-satellite constellation, more than 2.5 million subscribers and globally coordinated L-band spectrum.\nBeck described the deal as the missing piece in Rocket Lab’s strategy to control the space value chain — from launching rockets and manufacturing spacecraft to operating satellites and selling services.\nRocket Lab Wants IoT, Defense and PNT\nDuring the call, Beck also said the company plans to expand Iridium into satellite IoT, direct-to-device connectivity, positioning, navigation and timing, defense, aviation and maritime safety.\n\"We will not simply continue Iridium’s network,\" Beck said. \"We will expand upon it and scale it into untapped markets.\"\nThe strategy could also enable Rocket Lab to build and launch its own spacecraft for Iridium, reducing its reliance on external providers.\nRocket Lab Q2 Revenue Beats Estimates\nRocket Lab reported second-quarter revenue of $234.07 million, topping the consensus estimate of $231.35 million.\nHowever, the company posted a loss of 8 cents per share, slightly wider than analysts’ expected loss of 7 cents per share. The company ended the quarter with a record backlog of $2.36 billion and approximately $2.13 billion in cash and cash equivalents.\nFor the third quarter, Rocket Lab expects revenue between $250 million and $265 million, above analysts’ estimate of $238.53 million. The company also projects an adjusted EBITDA loss of $17 million to $23 million for the quarter.\nPrice Action: Rocket Lab shares closed at $80.04 on Monday, down 2.79% and fell another 9.6% to $72.36 in Tuesday’s premarket trading, according to Benzinga Pro.\nBenzinga Edge ranks Rocket Lab in the 73rd percentile for Momentum, with the stock showing a negative short- and medium-term price trend but a positive long-term trend.\n\nDisclaimer: This content was partially produced with the help of AI tools and was reviewed and published by Benzinga editors.\n\n\n\nRead Also:\n\nRocket Lab Rebounds as Options Market Points to Volatility After Earnings\n\n\n\nPhoto courtesy: Shutterstock","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RKLX":0.6,"ROKT":0.6,"WARP":0.6,"ORBX":0.6,"RKLB":1.98,"MARS":0.6,"FSPC":0.6,"XTL":0.6,"COWG":0.6,"IRDM":1.88,"RKLZ":0.6,"DIPR":0.6}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":47,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":486434481668400,"gmtCreate":1759788837843,"gmtModify":1759795304649,"author":{"id":"4183541272550112","authorId":"4183541272550112","name":"Etel","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4183541272550112","idStr":"4183541272550112"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"$Archer Aviation Inc.(ACHR)$ on tomorrow will be the price $20.
