The stock has beaten the broader market handsomely over the past five years despite crashing over 40% in 2022. But does this massive pullback mean that investors should buy AMD stock and hope that the chipmaker replicates its fine form over the next five years as well?AMD data by YChartsLet's check where AMD may stand after five years and find out if buying this beaten-down semiconductor stock is a good idea.AMD could become a bigger player in these marketsAMD's chips power personal computers (PCs) and data centers, and the company is enjoying outstanding growth in both these markets.The client segment was AMD's largest source of revenue in the second quarter. It generated $2.2 billion in revenue, an increase of 25% over the prior-year period. The impressive thing to note here is that AMD saw strong growth in sales of processors that power notebooks and desktops at a time when the broader PC market is in terrible shape.IDC reports that PC shipments fell 15.3% year over year in the second quarter as demand weakened. But the average selling prices (ASPs) of AMD's processors increased. Shipment volumes also increased thanks to another quarter of market share gains over Intel. AMD says that it has gained client processor market share for nine straight quarters, which is not surprising given its stronger product lineup.Mercury Research estimates that AMD exited Q2 with a 20.6% share of the desktop PC market and a 24.8% share of the notebook market. Those numbers show a nice improvement over the year-ago period's desktop market share of 17.1% and notebook market share of 20%. The market share numbers also tell us that AMD still has a lot of room for growth in the PC market.The PC processor market reportedly generated $88 billion in revenue in 2020, and the figure is expected to jump to $117 billion in 2027. AMD looks set to corner a bigger chunk of this massive opportunity thanks to the technology lead that it enjoys over Intel. The company has just announced its latest Ryzen 7000 processors based on the 5-nanometer (nm) Zen architecture. These new processors could widen the gulf between AMD and Intel, as the latter will remain stuck on a 10nm process node when it launches its Raptor Lake chips later this year.AMD's smaller process node means that the transistors on its chips are packed more closely together compared to the transistors on Intel's. As a result, AMD's chips are likely to be more powerful and power-efficient, as packing more transistors into a smaller area allows a processor to carry out calculations faster and heat up less. So AMD looks set for more market share gains in client processors, and that should play a key role in the company's growth over the next five years.A similar scenario is unfolding in the server processor market. AMD reportedly controlled a 13.9% share of server processors in Q2, up from 9.5% in the year-ago period. Intel is the dominant player in this space, but it has been losing ground to AMD. Chipzilla is likely to lose more ground in the server processor market, as it has repeatedly delayed the launch of its 4th-generation Sapphire Rapids data center processors.Intel is expected to release its Sapphire Rapids chips in the first quarter of 2023, while some parts may only see the light of the day in the second half of the year. This gives AMD the opportunity to gain more share against Intel in the lucrative server processor market, especially considering that it will be based on a 10nm process. AMD's upcoming server processors, on the other hand, will be based on the 5nm manufacturing process.More importantly, AMD is all set to push the envelope further in client and server processors with the launch of 4nm and 3nm chips by 2024. So it wouldn't be surprising to see AMD become a bigger player in these markets by 2027, paving the way for robust long-term growth in the company's top and bottom lines.Gaming consoles will drive terrific growthAMD supplies semi-custom chips to video game console manufacturers such as Microsoft, Sony, and Valve. This is the reason why the company's gaming business recorded 32% year-over-year growth in Q2 to $1.7 billion despite a decline in graphics card revenue.AMD's relationship with game console manufacturers is going to be a long-term catalyst that could set it up for impressive growth over the next five years. For instance, sales of Sony's PlayStation 5 consoles are expected to hit 67.3 million units in 2024 from 17.9 million units in 2021. Similarly, sales of Xbox Series X consoles could jump to 37 million units in 2024 from 12 million last year.Meanwhile, AMD's new gaming console client is also gaining solid traction in the market. Valve's Steam Deck console uses AMD's semi-custom processor, and the company is said to be increasing production of the same to meet the growing number of reservations for the device. As such, AMD's console business should remain in healthy shape over the next five years.In all, there are signs that AMD could continue clocking terrific growth going forward. Not surprisingly, analysts expect 27% annual earnings growth from the company for the next five years, which is why it may be a good idea to take advantage of the slip in AMD's stock price since it could deliver healthy long-term upside.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMD":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3143,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9996683649,"gmtCreate":1661160572885,"gmtModify":1676536464357,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[smile] ","listText":"[smile] ","text":"[smile]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9996683649","repostId":"1157899221","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1157899221","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1661155848,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1157899221?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-22 16:10","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Meme Stocks Plunged in Premarket Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1157899221","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Meme stocks plunged in premarket trading. Its stock subsequently sank below $5 for the first time since the COVID crash in April 2020. But over the past month, its stock more than doubled to about $13. That rally wasn't driven by any meaningful improvements to its business. Instead, it was likely sparked by a short squeeze and exuberant discussions about the stock on Reddit's WallStreetBets (WSB) forum.At the end of July, 36% of Bed Bath & Beyond's outstanding shares were still being shorted. The stock trades at just 0.2 times this year's sales after its month-long rally, which suggests that any positive news might drive it even higher. So should investors chase this wild rally?Image source: Getty Images.Why did Bed Bath & Beyond's stock crash?Prior to the pandemic, Bed Bath & Beyond struggled to stay relevant against Amazon, Walmart, and Target in the crowded retail market. Its comparable sales growth stalled out, and its attempts to buy more growth through acquisitions made its business even messier. It also fell into the trap of using aggressive, margin-crushing discounts to generate more sales.Bed Bath & Beyond's poor performance prompted a trio of activist investors to revolt in 2019, which led to a shakeup of its board of directors and the resignation of its CEO Steven Temares. It then hired Mark Tritton, Target's chief merchandising officer, as its new CEO to helm its turnaround efforts.Tritton tried to fix Bed Bath & Beyond by shuttering its weaker stores, divesting its non-core banners, expanding its e-commerce ecosystem, and reducing its inventories with steep discounts. Unfortunately, Tritton took over just as the COVID-19 pandemic started, and its post-lockdown recovery was brief and quickly hampered by supply chain disruptions and inflationary headwinds over the past year.PeriodQ1 2022Q4 2021Q3 2021Q2 2021Q1 2021Comps Growth (YOY)(23%)(12%)(7%)(1%)86%Adj. Gross Margin23.8%28.8%35.9%34%34.9%Data source: Bed Bath & Beyond. YOY = Year-over-year.The company dismissed Tritton in June and named Sue Gove, an independent director on its board, as its interim CEO. On July 1, Gove bought 50,000 shares of Bed Bath & Beyond at an average price of $4.61 -- which nearly doubled her existing stake -- as a vote of confidence in its future.Can Bed Bath & Beyond's stock recover?During the company's shareholder meeting in mid-July, Gove said it was \"working with urgency\" and \"very focused on finding the best opportunities available to maximize value for all stakeholders.\"Gove highlighted the growth of its Simply Essential private label brand, the expansion of its new loyalty program (which launched on June 23 and gained two million members in the first two weeks), and fresh sales strategies for the back-to-school shopping season as potential near-term catalysts.She said the company was still addressing its supply chain and inventory issues, and that the \"next few weeks and months\" would be \"critically important\" for its future. Gove also said the company would also provide \"much more\" information at an upcoming investor presentation in late August.Gove's comments are realistic and hopeful, but they don't seem to justify the stock's massive rally over the past month. Meanwhile, its long-term debt -- which rose 17% year over year to $1.38 billion in the first quarter -- still raises concerns that it could become the next J.C. Penney or Sears. It only had $108 million in cash and equivalents at the end of May, and it's reportedly been seeking out private loans to stay solvent.For now, analysts expect Bed Bath & Beyond's revenue to decline 17% to $6.5 billion for the full year and for its net loss to widen from $560 million to $665 million.Ignore the \"meme stock\" noiseThere's no fundamental reason to expect Bed Bath & Beyond's stock to recover over the next few quarters. Instead, investors seem completely fixated on the stock's short interest -- but that ratio might have already declined since its last official reading on July 28.Therefore, investors expecting Bed Bath & Beyond to become the next GameStop or AMC will likely be disappointed when this meme stock rally fizzles out. It consistently underperformed Walmart, Target, and other big-box retailers during both the pandemic and the post-lockdown period, and there's no reason to believe it will suddenly get its act together before its liabilities overwhelm its assets.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"BBBY":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3424,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9993723809,"gmtCreate":1660737522903,"gmtModify":1676536389153,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9993723809","repostId":"9993768690","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":9993768690,"gmtCreate":1660736417713,"gmtModify":1676536388940,"author":{"id":"3583230105554843","authorId":"3583230105554843","name":"Keeley","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/c720283f6ce0951b275b726005d199ad","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583230105554843","idStr":"3583230105554843"},"themes":[],"title":"Weekly Technical Analysis #TSLA #NIO #GOOG","htmlText":"Find out more about me here (YouTube/Discord/Telegram): https://www.linktr.ee/keeleytanIf you find my post helpful, I’ll be grateful and appreciate it if you could leave me a like on this post, and follow me for future posts like this.<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https://ttm.financial/S/TSLA\">$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$</a> Price bounced off the bullish POI at 842.36 as analyzed last week. And even with the S&P 500 down nearly 15% year to date, those inflows remain robust. According to FactSet Research, $332 billion flowed into ETFs in the first half of 2022. If investors keep up that pace, more money will be deployed into ETFs this year than was invested in them in any other year besides 2021.So while many people are exiting their stock positions amid this market downturn, it appears that as a group, investors are still piling into ETFs. In volatile markets, there's an added appeal to investments that provide low-fee access to a diversified basket of stocks within a certain sector or that fit a specific investment style or strategy. And they are well-suited for those who are taking a long-term approach, which is why they make a lot of sense for those investing for retirement. But can you retire a millionaire by investing in ETFs alone?Building a million-dollar portfolioToday, there are some 2,600 ETFs available in the U.S., and they come in every stripe, so you could certainly build a portfolio out of ETFs alone that includes a mix of aggressive growth, deep value, income focused, large cap, small cap, and everything in between.But to reach a seven-figure value, the key ingredient is time. Let's see how long hitting that goal might take for someone who built their portfolio out of three ETFs that represent different segments of the market.One would be an aggressive growth ETF, the Vanguard Information Technology ETF, which invests in about 425 technology stocks of various market caps. Another would be a plain-vanilla large-cap fund that tracks the S&P 500, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. The third would be on the other end of the spectrum, a small-cap value fund, the Invesco S&P SmallCap Value with Momentum ETF.Can you get there?Let's look at the 10-year track records of these funds to get a sense of what type of returns they have generated in the past -- which included a long bull market and two bear markets. Through July 28, the Vanguard Information Technology ETF had an average annualized return of 18.1%, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF had an annualized return of 11.3%, and the Invesco S&P SmallCap Value with Momentum ETF had an annualized return of 11.9%.If you invested $10,000 in each of these funds 10 years ago and contributed another $150 to each one monthly, you would have about $240,000 right now.Now, let's consider their returns over an even longer timeline. Two of these funds don't have track records that go back 20 years. But since its inception in 2004, the Vanguard ETF has recorded an 11.2% annualized return. And since it was launched in 2005, the Invesco fund has enjoyed an annualized return of 6.9%. The SPDR fund, which has been around the longest, had an annualized return of 7.8% over the past 20 years.Now, based on the same scenario above with $10,000 initial investments plus $150 monthly contributions, you'd have about $477,000 in your portfolio after 20 years, given these longer-term rates of return. Your total contribution over 20 years would be just $46,000 per ETF.So, applying those rates of return out further into the future, a portfolio using this investment strategy and these three ETFs would need about 28 years to hit $1 million in value. So if you're just starting out as an investor and you're 40 or younger, it is certainly doable. If you are over 40, reaching that goal may require a more aggressive investing approach.But of course, these are projections based on prior fund performance, and we can't assume the market will behave in the next 20 or 30 years the same way it has over the past 20 or 30 years. However, it should give you a general sense of the value of a long-term strategy.Also keep in mind this hypothetical is but one example of a diversified ETF portfolio -- there are thousands of ETFs to choose from. Investors should focus on building a portfolio that fits their own unique risk tolerance and goals -- ever mindful of the fact that the longer the time horizon, the better off they will be in reaching that million-dollar goal.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"XSVM":0.9,"VGT":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1960,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9906801177,"gmtCreate":1659506503401,"gmtModify":1705981109671,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9906801177","repostId":"2256766680","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2256766680","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1659505727,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2256766680?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-03 13:48","market":"us","language":"en","title":"7 Large-Cap Growth Stocks to Buy on the Dip","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2256766680","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Because the economy is in much better shape than many believe, there are many good good, large-cap g","content":"<div>\n<p>Because the economy is in much better shape than many believe, there are many good good, large-cap growth stocks to buy on the dip.PayPal (PYPL): The company will benefit a great deal from its ...</p>\n\n<a href=\"https://investorplace.com/large-cap-growth-stocks-to-buy-on-the-dip/\">Source Link</a>\n\n</div>\n","source":"investorplace","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; As a result, for longer-term investors, there are many good, large-cap growth stocks to buy on the dip.Appearing on Monday, July 25 on Bloomberg TV, Ed Yardeni, a long-time, very well-respected investor with a very good track record, said that the S&P 500 has probably bottomed, while “consumers and businesses” remain in good shape.He added (correctly) that “so far the earnings season is going reasonably well.” Perhaps partly because of the latter two points, Yardeni believes that, regardless of whether the economy technically contracted last quarter, we are in “a mid-cycle slowdown,” rather than a recession.The bears have made much of a few bad earnings reports. But I think that AT&T (NYSE:T) and Wal-Mart’s (NYSE:WMT) issues were caused by the struggles of low-end consumers, and those problems are not going to hurt most large growth stocks significantly.Meanwhile, as I’ve written in the past, I think that Snap (NYSE:SNAP) is unique because many marketers use it primarily for brand awareness purposes.PYPLPayPal$85.52AMZNAmazon$136.73GOOG, GOOGLAlphabet$116.51ROKURoku$64.95GEGeneral Electric$74.36AXPAmerican Express$153.65BACBank of America$33.79PayPal (PYPL)In previous columns, I’ve noted that I expect PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL) to benefit a great deal from its partnership with Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN). The alliance was unveiled in February.On June 7, a Mizuho analyst stated that PayPal could get a big lift from another big-time tech company: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).“We believe the odds of Apple… gradually opening up its NFC (near-field communication) to [PayPal’s} Venmo are potentially on the rise, “the firm wrote. Meanwhile, “Mizuho’s proprietary survey showed that Venmo and Apple Pay users have a strong appetite to use tap-to-pay if Apple opened up its NFC to Venmo.Analysts, on average, expect PayPal’s earnings per share to surge 23% next year to $4.74. As a result, PYPL stock is now trading a ta very reasonable forward price-earnings multiple of only 16.Amazon (AMZN)So far, during the current earnings season, there have been numerous indications that Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) corporate spending remains very strong.The relatively (versus expectations) positive earnings reports posted by IBM (NYSE:IBM), General Electric (NYSE:GE), and cybersecurity company F5 (NASDAQ:FFIV) are all indicative of that trend. Therefore, I expect Amazon’s cloud unit to continue to grow rapidly for the foreseeable future.The e-commerce business is definitely being hurt by the goods-to-services/experiences switch. But, as I’ve pointed out previously, the phenomenon won’t last forever, and buying AMZN stock on weakness ahead of a likely return to normalcy makes a lot of sense.Moreover, I remain upbeat on the conglomerate’s strategy of making Amazon Prime more attractive by streaming NFL games, providing free GrubHub memberships, and speeding up shipping times.And I continue to believe that, under CEO Andy Jassy’s leadership, the company’s forays into new sectors will be much more impactful than they were during the last decade of Jeff Bezos’ tenure.Alphabet (GOOG,GOOGL)Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) stock is near its 52-week low, likely due to the worries created by Snap’s poor Q2 results.But, as I indicated in my introduction, there’s a big difference between Snap and some of its larger peers. Specifically, Snap is a “nice-to-be-on” ad platform for marketers who want to connect with and promote their brands among young people. But the larger platforms are “must haves” that many consumer discretionary firms use to directly sell their products.No other advertising platform is more than a “must have” than Alphabet. That’s because Google has a monopoly on online search ads and interfaces with so many consumers who are ready to pull the trigger on purchases.Additionally, the long-term holders of GOOG stock should benefit a great deal from the company’s Waymo unit, which continues to make progress in the autonomous driving sector. In fact, in June, Waymo made a deal to deliver Wayfair’s (NYSE:W) products in the framework of a “pilot” program.Roku (ROKU)Like Alphabet, Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU) stock has tumbled in sympathy with Snap’s poor Q2 results. But Roku has something in common with Alphabet, and it’s an attribute that Snap does not possess. I mean that both Roku and Alphabet are the giants of their sectors, while Snap is far from being the leader in the social media space.Roku’s status as the clear leader of the rapidly growing connected TV-and-streaming space makes it a “must have” for many advertisers. Indeed, in June, streaming accounted for a record 33% of overall TV viewing. That proportion is poised to keep growing going forward, as more and more viewers “cut the cord.”And as I noted in a previous column, Roku’s alliance with Walmart, announced in June, indicates that a sizeable proportion of America’s largest retailers are poised to make major deals with Roku. Such deals will, of course, greatly lift Roku’s financial results and ROKU stock over the long-term.Roku’s trailing price-sales ratio is just 4.3. That’s a very low valuation, given Roku’s rapid growth and its status as the leader of the connected Tv market.General Electric (GE)Most people probably don’t view this conglomerate as a growth stock. But Aviation, historically the company’s most profitable business, is indeed, as I’ve predicted for some time, beginning to grow rapidly.In fact, last quarter, its orders surged 26% year-over-year, while its profit mushroomed to $1.15 billion from $176 million a year earlier. And despite the impact of inflation, the unit’s margin jumped to 18.7% from 3.6%.Even the company’s beleaguered Power business, virtually left for dead a few years ago, generated YOY profit growth of 7%, with its bottom line coming in at $320 million. Additionally, the unit’s sales, excluding the impact of acquisitions, climbed 4% YOY.GE expects its EPS to come in at the low end of its previous $2.80-$3.50 outlook, excluding certain items.. But in 2021, its EPS came in at just $2.12. Also notable is that analysts, on average, expect the company to report EPS of $4.65 for 2023.American Express (AXP)American Express (NYSE:AXP) on July 22 reported much stronger-than expected second-quarter results and increased its full-year guidance. The credit card network explained that it was getting a major lift from strong travel spending.Showing that high-end consumers still have a great deal of strength left, American Express’ card member spending surged 30% YOY in Q2, excluding the impact of currency fluctuations.“Goods and Services spending, which is the largest category of spending on our network, continued its strong growth in the quarter, and spending by Millennial and Gen Z Card Members increased 48% on an FX-adjusted basis over last year,” said CEO Stephen Squeri.The card network raised its full-year revenue growth guidance to 23%-25% from 18%-20%. It maintained its 2022 EPS guidance of $9.25-$965.Bank of America (BAC)Like credit card networks, banks are benefiting from the continued strength of high-end consumers, and they are also getting a lift from higher interest rates.Bank of America’s (NYSE:BAC) revenue climbed 6% YOY last quarter, and its net interest income soared 22% YOY. Additionally, its “Average loan and lease balances” jumped 12% YOY to $1 trillion, while its average deposits climbed 7% YOY to $2 trillion.“Our strong organic growth engine once again was evident in new account openings for checking, consumer investments, and small businesses, as well as net new Merrill and Private Bank households and new commercial banking customers,” said Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan. “This solid client activity across our businesses, coupled with higher interest rates, drove strong net interest income growth and allowed us to perform well in a weakened capital markets environment,” the CEO added.Despite the bank’s strong performance and outlook, its forward P/E ratio is just 10.5.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PSQ":0.6,"AAPL":1,"BAC":1,"QID":0.6,"GOOG":1,"ROKU":1,"NQmain":0.6,"T":1,".IXIC":0.9,"GOOGL":1,"SNAP":1,"QQQ":0.6,"AMZN":1,"QLD":0.6,"PYPL":1,"MNQmain":0.6}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1295,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9074227790,"gmtCreate":1658365743510,"gmtModify":1676536147861,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[smile] ","listText":"[smile] ","text":"[smile]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9074227790","repostId":"1125300989","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1125300989","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1658365394,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1125300989?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-21 09:03","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Nio Might Be Reaching the End of the Tunnel. Let’s take a look at what’s driving the stock price movements.Shares of electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Nio (NIO) have recently been on a roller coaster ride. On one hand, growth in deliveries is pushing up the stock; on the other hand, the global recession is punching down on the stock.Though shares now trade at a third of their all-time highs of $60, as seen early last year, they have recovered in the past two months from their 52-week lows of $11.67 and are now trading at around $20.The Good News for NIONIO shares took a downward spiral due to strict COVID-19 lockdowns in Shanghai. However, now, with the easing of the lockdown situation and the resulting resumption of production, shares have bounced back.For June, NIO reported a whopping 60% year-over-year jump in deliveries to 12,961. Further, sequentially, deliveries posted a record 84.5% growth compared to only 7,024 reported in May.Additionally, EV stocks got some push from the news that the Chinese government plans to support EV makers in China by providing subsidies and tax breaks.The Bad News for NIOEV stocks took a beating due to impending fears of a global recession as well as higher interest rates.Investors were concerned that Nio may be in need of additional capital like its peers, and may resort to stock offerings that could dilute the value of the shares.In late June, the stock took a massive hit after the release of a hostile report from Grizzly Research LLC, which accused the company of inflating its revenues and profits.In response, Nio stated that the report was misleading and inaccurate. Nio committed to creating an independent committee to investigate the concerns raised in the report.Analysts Are Bullish about NIOOverall, the stock has a Strong Buy consensus rating based on 10 unanimous Buys. The average Nio price target of $33.66 implies 66.63% upside potential from current levels.High Smart Score for NioNIO scores a 9 out of 10 on TipRanks’ Smart Score rating system, indicating that the stock has strong potential to outperform market expectations.Concluding ThoughtsNio deliveries number in June shows that perhaps, the worst is behind the company with the resumption of production in Shanghai, which suffered due to the COVID-19 situation and the long period of lockdowns earlier this year.The Chinese government support could act as a strong catalyst for the EV maker, assuming NIO management is able to put recent investors’ concerns to rest.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"09866":0.9,"NIO.SI":0.9,"NIO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1668,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"4113904591642392","authorId":"4113904591642392","name":"LMSunshine","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0ad636f2490d8428fcee9da6d669e46c","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"4113904591642392","idStr":"4113904591642392"},"content":"Are you new to Tiger?If yes,🥳welcome to the Tiger Community.I can’t follow more people as my app keeps crashing.If you follow me,I can check your homepage regularly & help to like your posts too!","text":"Are you new to Tiger?If yes,🥳welcome to the Tiger Community.I can’t follow more people as my app keeps crashing.If you follow me,I can check your homepage regularly & help to like your posts too!","html":"Are you new to Tiger?If yes,🥳welcome to the Tiger Community.I can’t follow more people as my app keeps crashing.If you follow me,I can check your homepage regularly & help to like your posts too!"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9075948230,"gmtCreate":1658136216820,"gmtModify":1676536110814,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[smile] ","listText":"[smile] ","text":"[smile]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9075948230","repostId":"1182870675","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1182870675","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1658135965,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1182870675?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-18 17:19","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Plug Power Stock: Traders are Overreacting to Political Wrangling","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1182870675","media":"TipRanks","summary":"Story HighlightsPlug Power stock investors are jittery due to a politician’s pushback against the Wh","content":"<div>\n<p>Story HighlightsPlug Power stock investors are jittery due to a politician’s pushback against the White House’s climate spending plans. Yet, the company’s growth is undeniable, and Plug Power’s business abroad could bring in big-time revenue.I am bullish on Plug Power (PLUG) stock. If you truly believe in the future of clean energy, not only in the U.S. but internationally, then this is a great time to consider a long position in Plug Power shares. Sure, there will be speed bumps along the way, but the sustainability movement is here to stay.Plug Power makes hydrogen fuel cells. There are other companies that do this, but Plug Power is probably the most famous one that specializes in this field and has a stock that’s traded on a major U.S. exchange. The company’s market cap is $9 billion, so it’s not too small but also allows room for rapid growth in the coming years.As we’ll discover, Plug Power is expanding its market footprint in Europe, where the green energy movement is advancing quickly. Granted, there are issues and hold-ups on Plug Power’s home turf in the U.S. Always remember, though, that politics can impede progress temporarily, but a powerful movement like clean energy can’t be held back forever.A Political Tug-of-War Creates Problems for Plug PowerThere’s no denying that U.S. President Joseph Biden has grand ambitions for the sustainability movement in America. In particular, the Biden administration seeks to reduce U.S. carbon dioxide emissions by around 50% by the end of the 2020s. That’s easier said than done, though, as there’s bound to be pushback from the President’s political opponents in Congress.It might be assumed that this pushback would come from Republicans in the Senate and House of Representatives. Surprisingly, though, there’s been resistance from a West Virginia Democrat, Senator Joseph Manchin. As Biden and other Democrats seek to pass a broad spending package that includes clean energy initiatives, Manchin’s objections threaten to derail the White House’s grand plans.Why would Manchin object to green energy spending? Apparently, the senator isn’t in a mood to ramp up government spending right now, particularly in the wake of a red-hot CPI print. To quote Sam Runyon, Manchin’s spokesperson, “Political headlines are of no value to the millions of Americans struggling to afford groceries and gas as inflation soars to 9.1 percent.”Since the Democrats only have a 50-50 majority in the Senate, Manchin’s vote is crucial. Without his support, Biden’s hopes for further federal climate change spending are put on hold, at least for the time being. Also, Congressional elections are coming up in November, and the Democrats might lose some seats in the Senate. In other words, the clock is ticking.Upon the announcement that Manchin isn’t currently supporting the White House’s proposal for sustainability spending, traders dumped their Plug Power shares. It was a veritable bloodbath as Plug Power stock slumped nearly 13% on Friday, landing below $16.Climate Change Legislation Could Still Get PassedApparently, investors connected the dots between Plug Power’s business model, as the company builds hydrogen fuel cells mostly for electric vehicles, and the hold-up in further federal spending on clean energy. Did the traders on Wall Street overreact to the news, though?Headline risk might make you nervous sometimes, but it can also present terrific buying opportunities when traders panic-sell. Here’s a detail of the story that Plug Power’s investors might have missed. Reportedly, Runyon stated that “Senator Manchin has not walked away from the table.” Hence, the senator is apparently open to further discussions about passing further clean energy legislation.Just consider how swift the relief rally might be if this legislation passes. Bear in mind, that politics is a slow process with a lot of conflicts. Political posturing and wrangling are normal and should be expected. The fact that traders dumped Plug Power stock below $16 shows how headline-sensitive they can be, but they might end up regretting their knee-jerk reaction.After all, Plug Power’s future revenue won’t come entirely from the U.S. For instance, the company is teaming up with MOL Group to build a massive green hydrogen production facility in Hungary. Furthermore, Plug Power was recently commissioned by hydrogen company H2 Energy Europe to deliver a one-gigawatt electrolyzer in Denmark. On top of all that, Plug Power plans to construct a 35-tons-per-day green hydrogen generation plant at the Belgian Port of Antwerp-Bruges.Wall Street’s TakeAccording to TipRanks’ analyst rating consensus, PLUG is a Strong Buy, based on 11 Buy and three Hold ratings. The average Plug Power price target is $33.54, implying 117% upside potential.Plug Power Stock Could Recover from the PlungeSure, it was scary to witness Plug Power stock dive headfirst on Friday. However, Plug Power’s revenue won’t only come from its U.S. business. The company also has a major presence in Europe, where sustainability is a high priority.Meanwhile, there’s been a hold-up in the White House’s plans for further federal spending on clean energy. However, this isn’t necessarily the end of the story. If the political roadblocks are cleared before the November elections, then Plug Power stock could power its way back up to fresh highs.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PLUG":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1560,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9071074394,"gmtCreate":1657440864618,"gmtModify":1676536008425,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[smile] Yet, the company’s growth is undeniable, and Plug Power’s business abroad could bring in big-time revenue.I am bullish on Plug Power (PLUG) stock. If you truly believe in the future of clean energy, not only in the U.S. but internationally, then this is a great time to consider a long position in Plug Power shares. Sure, there will be speed bumps along the way, but the sustainability movement is here to stay.Plug Power makes hydrogen fuel cells. There are other companies that do this, but Plug Power is probably the most famous one that specializes in this field and has a stock that’s traded on a major U.S. exchange. The company’s market cap is $9 billion, so it’s not too small but also allows room for rapid growth in the coming years.As we’ll discover, Plug Power is expanding its market footprint in Europe, where the green energy movement is advancing quickly. Granted, there are issues and hold-ups on Plug Power’s home turf in the U.S. Always remember, though, that politics can impede progress temporarily, but a powerful movement like clean energy can’t be held back forever.A Political Tug-of-War Creates Problems for Plug PowerThere’s no denying that U.S. President Joseph Biden has grand ambitions for the sustainability movement in America. In particular, the Biden administration seeks to reduce U.S. carbon dioxide emissions by around 50% by the end of the 2020s. That’s easier said than done, though, as there’s bound to be pushback from the President’s political opponents in Congress.It might be assumed that this pushback would come from Republicans in the Senate and House of Representatives. Surprisingly, though, there’s been resistance from a West Virginia Democrat, Senator Joseph Manchin. As Biden and other Democrats seek to pass a broad spending package that includes clean energy initiatives, Manchin’s objections threaten to derail the White House’s grand plans.Why would Manchin object to green energy spending? Apparently, the senator isn’t in a mood to ramp up government spending right now, particularly in the wake of a red-hot CPI print. To quote Sam Runyon, Manchin’s spokesperson, “Political headlines are of no value to the millions of Americans struggling to afford groceries and gas as inflation soars to 9.1 percent.”Since the Democrats only have a 50-50 majority in the Senate, Manchin’s vote is crucial. Without his support, Biden’s hopes for further federal climate change spending are put on hold, at least for the time being. Also, Congressional elections are coming up in November, and the Democrats might lose some seats in the Senate. In other words, the clock is ticking.Upon the announcement that Manchin isn’t currently supporting the White House’s proposal for sustainability spending, traders dumped their Plug Power shares. It was a veritable bloodbath as Plug Power stock slumped nearly 13% on Friday, landing below $16.Climate Change Legislation Could Still Get PassedApparently, investors connected the dots between Plug Power’s business model, as the company builds hydrogen fuel cells mostly for electric vehicles, and the hold-up in further federal spending on clean energy. Did the traders on Wall Street overreact to the news, though?Headline risk might make you nervous sometimes, but it can also present terrific buying opportunities when traders panic-sell. Here’s a detail of the story that Plug Power’s investors might have missed. Reportedly, Runyon stated that “Senator Manchin has not walked away from the table.” Hence, the senator is apparently open to further discussions about passing further clean energy legislation.Just consider how swift the relief rally might be if this legislation passes. Bear in mind, that politics is a slow process with a lot of conflicts. Political posturing and wrangling are normal and should be expected. The fact that traders dumped Plug Power stock below $16 shows how headline-sensitive they can be, but they might end up regretting their knee-jerk reaction.After all, Plug Power’s future revenue won’t come entirely from the U.S. For instance, the company is teaming up with MOL Group to build a massive green hydrogen production facility in Hungary. Furthermore, Plug Power was recently commissioned by hydrogen company H2 Energy Europe to deliver a one-gigawatt electrolyzer in Denmark. On top of all that, Plug Power plans to construct a 35-tons-per-day green hydrogen generation plant at the Belgian Port of Antwerp-Bruges.Wall Street’s TakeAccording to TipRanks’ analyst rating consensus, PLUG is a Strong Buy, based on 11 Buy and three Hold ratings. The average Plug Power price target is $33.54, implying 117% upside potential.Plug Power Stock Could Recover from the PlungeSure, it was scary to witness Plug Power stock dive headfirst on Friday. However, Plug Power’s revenue won’t only come from its U.S. business. The company also has a major presence in Europe, where sustainability is a high priority.Meanwhile, there’s been a hold-up in the White House’s plans for further federal spending on clean energy. However, this isn’t necessarily the end of the story. If the political roadblocks are cleared before the November elections, then Plug Power stock could power its way back up to fresh highs.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PLUG":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1560,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9073571085,"gmtCreate":1657389208847,"gmtModify":1676536000464,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like ","listText":"Like ","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9073571085","repostId":"2249893579","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":887,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9074227790,"gmtCreate":1658365743510,"gmtModify":1676536147861,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[smile] ","listText":"[smile] ","text":"[smile]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9074227790","repostId":"1125300989","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1125300989","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1658365394,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1125300989?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-21 09:03","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Nio Might Be Reaching the End of the Tunnel. Let’s take a look at what’s driving the stock price movements.Shares of electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Nio (NIO) have recently been on a roller coaster ride. On one hand, growth in deliveries is pushing up the stock; on the other hand, the global recession is punching down on the stock.Though shares now trade at a third of their all-time highs of $60, as seen early last year, they have recovered in the past two months from their 52-week lows of $11.67 and are now trading at around $20.The Good News for NIONIO shares took a downward spiral due to strict COVID-19 lockdowns in Shanghai. However, now, with the easing of the lockdown situation and the resulting resumption of production, shares have bounced back.For June, NIO reported a whopping 60% year-over-year jump in deliveries to 12,961. Further, sequentially, deliveries posted a record 84.5% growth compared to only 7,024 reported in May.Additionally, EV stocks got some push from the news that the Chinese government plans to support EV makers in China by providing subsidies and tax breaks.The Bad News for NIOEV stocks took a beating due to impending fears of a global recession as well as higher interest rates.Investors were concerned that Nio may be in need of additional capital like its peers, and may resort to stock offerings that could dilute the value of the shares.In late June, the stock took a massive hit after the release of a hostile report from Grizzly Research LLC, which accused the company of inflating its revenues and profits.In response, Nio stated that the report was misleading and inaccurate. And even with the S&P 500 down nearly 15% year to date, those inflows remain robust. According to FactSet Research, $332 billion flowed into ETFs in the first half of 2022. If investors keep up that pace, more money will be deployed into ETFs this year than was invested in them in any other year besides 2021.So while many people are exiting their stock positions amid this market downturn, it appears that as a group, investors are still piling into ETFs. In volatile markets, there's an added appeal to investments that provide low-fee access to a diversified basket of stocks within a certain sector or that fit a specific investment style or strategy. And they are well-suited for those who are taking a long-term approach, which is why they make a lot of sense for those investing for retirement. But can you retire a millionaire by investing in ETFs alone?Building a million-dollar portfolioToday, there are some 2,600 ETFs available in the U.S., and they come in every stripe, so you could certainly build a portfolio out of ETFs alone that includes a mix of aggressive growth, deep value, income focused, large cap, small cap, and everything in between.But to reach a seven-figure value, the key ingredient is time. Let's see how long hitting that goal might take for someone who built their portfolio out of three ETFs that represent different segments of the market.One would be an aggressive growth ETF, the Vanguard Information Technology ETF, which invests in about 425 technology stocks of various market caps. Another would be a plain-vanilla large-cap fund that tracks the S&P 500, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. The third would be on the other end of the spectrum, a small-cap value fund, the Invesco S&P SmallCap Value with Momentum ETF.Can you get there?Let's look at the 10-year track records of these funds to get a sense of what type of returns they have generated in the past -- which included a long bull market and two bear markets. Through July 28, the Vanguard Information Technology ETF had an average annualized return of 18.1%, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF had an annualized return of 11.3%, and the Invesco S&P SmallCap Value with Momentum ETF had an annualized return of 11.9%.If you invested $10,000 in each of these funds 10 years ago and contributed another $150 to each one monthly, you would have about $240,000 right now.Now, let's consider their returns over an even longer timeline. Two of these funds don't have track records that go back 20 years. But since its inception in 2004, the Vanguard ETF has recorded an 11.2% annualized return. And since it was launched in 2005, the Invesco fund has enjoyed an annualized return of 6.9%. The SPDR fund, which has been around the longest, had an annualized return of 7.8% over the past 20 years.Now, based on the same scenario above with $10,000 initial investments plus $150 monthly contributions, you'd have about $477,000 in your portfolio after 20 years, given these longer-term rates of return. Your total contribution over 20 years would be just $46,000 per ETF.So, applying those rates of return out further into the future, a portfolio using this investment strategy and these three ETFs would need about 28 years to hit $1 million in value. So if you're just starting out as an investor and you're 40 or younger, it is certainly doable. If you are over 40, reaching that goal may require a more aggressive investing approach.But of course, these are projections based on prior fund performance, and we can't assume the market will behave in the next 20 or 30 years the same way it has over the past 20 or 30 years. However, it should give you a general sense of the value of a long-term strategy.Also keep in mind this hypothetical is but one example of a diversified ETF portfolio -- there are thousands of ETFs to choose from. Investors should focus on building a portfolio that fits their own unique risk tolerance and goals -- ever mindful of the fact that the longer the time horizon, the better off they will be in reaching that million-dollar goal.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"XSVM":0.9,"VGT":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1960,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9942675842,"gmtCreate":1681222588286,"gmtModify":1681222593275,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":" <a href=\"https://ttm.financial/S/TQQQ\">$Nasdaq100 Bull 3X ETF(TQQQ)$ </a><v-v data-views=\"1\"></v-v>","listText":" <a href=\"https://ttm.financial/S/TQQQ\">$Nasdaq100 Bull 3X ETF(TQQQ)$ </a><v-v data-views=\"1\"></v-v>","text":"$Nasdaq100 Bull 3X ETF(TQQQ)$","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9942675842","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3852,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"4107133117874550","authorId":"4107133117874550","name":"maricel","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/60846b299dc1949f885972acacec6edd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"4107133117874550","idStr":"4107133117874550"},"content":"[lovely] [lovely] [lovely]","text":"[lovely] [lovely] [lovely]","html":"[lovely] [lovely] [lovely]"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9996683649,"gmtCreate":1661160572885,"gmtModify":1676536464357,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[smile] ","listText":"[smile] ","text":"[smile]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9996683649","repostId":"1157899221","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1157899221","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1661155848,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1157899221?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-22 16:10","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Meme Stocks Plunged in Premarket Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1157899221","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Meme stocks plunged in premarket trading. As a result, for longer-term investors, there are many good, large-cap growth stocks to buy on the dip.Appearing on Monday, July 25 on Bloomberg TV, Ed Yardeni, a long-time, very well-respected investor with a very good track record, said that the S&P 500 has probably bottomed, while “consumers and businesses” remain in good shape.He added (correctly) that “so far the earnings season is going reasonably well.” Perhaps partly because of the latter two points, Yardeni believes that, regardless of whether the economy technically contracted last quarter, we are in “a mid-cycle slowdown,” rather than a recession.The bears have made much of a few bad earnings reports. But I think that AT&T (NYSE:T) and Wal-Mart’s (NYSE:WMT) issues were caused by the struggles of low-end consumers, and those problems are not going to hurt most large growth stocks significantly.Meanwhile, as I’ve written in the past, I think that Snap (NYSE:SNAP) is unique because many marketers use it primarily for brand awareness purposes.PYPLPayPal$85.52AMZNAmazon$136.73GOOG, GOOGLAlphabet$116.51ROKURoku$64.95GEGeneral Electric$74.36AXPAmerican Express$153.65BACBank of America$33.79PayPal (PYPL)In previous columns, I’ve noted that I expect PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL) to benefit a great deal from its partnership with Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN). The alliance was unveiled in February.On June 7, a Mizuho analyst stated that PayPal could get a big lift from another big-time tech company: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL).“We believe the odds of Apple… gradually opening up its NFC (near-field communication) to [PayPal’s} Venmo are potentially on the rise, “the firm wrote. Meanwhile, “Mizuho’s proprietary survey showed that Venmo and Apple Pay users have a strong appetite to use tap-to-pay if Apple opened up its NFC to Venmo.Analysts, on average, expect PayPal’s earnings per share to surge 23% next year to $4.74. As a result, PYPL stock is now trading a ta very reasonable forward price-earnings multiple of only 16.Amazon (AMZN)So far, during the current earnings season, there have been numerous indications that Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) corporate spending remains very strong.The relatively (versus expectations) positive earnings reports posted by IBM (NYSE:IBM), General Electric (NYSE:GE), and cybersecurity company F5 (NASDAQ:FFIV) are all indicative of that trend. Therefore, I expect Amazon’s cloud unit to continue to grow rapidly for the foreseeable future.The e-commerce business is definitely being hurt by the goods-to-services/experiences switch. But, as I’ve pointed out previously, the phenomenon won’t last forever, and buying AMZN stock on weakness ahead of a likely return to normalcy makes a lot of sense.Moreover, I remain upbeat on the conglomerate’s strategy of making Amazon Prime more attractive by streaming NFL games, providing free GrubHub memberships, and speeding up shipping times.And I continue to believe that, under CEO Andy Jassy’s leadership, the company’s forays into new sectors will be much more impactful than they were during the last decade of Jeff Bezos’ tenure.Alphabet (GOOG,GOOGL)Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) stock is near its 52-week low, likely due to the worries created by Snap’s poor Q2 results.But, as I indicated in my introduction, there’s a big difference between Snap and some of its larger peers. Specifically, Snap is a “nice-to-be-on” ad platform for marketers who want to connect with and promote their brands among young people. But the larger platforms are “must haves” that many consumer discretionary firms use to directly sell their products.No other advertising platform is more than a “must have” than Alphabet. That’s because Google has a monopoly on online search ads and interfaces with so many consumers who are ready to pull the trigger on purchases.Additionally, the long-term holders of GOOG stock should benefit a great deal from the company’s Waymo unit, which continues to make progress in the autonomous driving sector. In fact, in June, Waymo made a deal to deliver Wayfair’s (NYSE:W) products in the framework of a “pilot” program.Roku (ROKU)Like Alphabet, Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU) stock has tumbled in sympathy with Snap’s poor Q2 results. But Roku has something in common with Alphabet, and it’s an attribute that Snap does not possess. I mean that both Roku and Alphabet are the giants of their sectors, while Snap is far from being the leader in the social media space.Roku’s status as the clear leader of the rapidly growing connected TV-and-streaming space makes it a “must have” for many advertisers. Indeed, in June, streaming accounted for a record 33% of overall TV viewing. That proportion is poised to keep growing going forward, as more and more viewers “cut the cord.”And as I noted in a previous column, Roku’s alliance with Walmart, announced in June, indicates that a sizeable proportion of America’s largest retailers are poised to make major deals with Roku. Such deals will, of course, greatly lift Roku’s financial results and ROKU stock over the long-term.Roku’s trailing price-sales ratio is just 4.3. That’s a very low valuation, given Roku’s rapid growth and its status as the leader of the connected Tv market.General Electric (GE)Most people probably don’t view this conglomerate as a growth stock. But Aviation, historically the company’s most profitable business, is indeed, as I’ve predicted for some time, beginning to grow rapidly.In fact, last quarter, its orders surged 26% year-over-year, while its profit mushroomed to $1.15 billion from $176 million a year earlier. And despite the impact of inflation, the unit’s margin jumped to 18.7% from 3.6%.Even the company’s beleaguered Power business, virtually left for dead a few years ago, generated YOY profit growth of 7%, with its bottom line coming in at $320 million. Additionally, the unit’s sales, excluding the impact of acquisitions, climbed 4% YOY.GE expects its EPS to come in at the low end of its previous $2.80-$3.50 outlook, excluding certain items.. But in 2021, its EPS came in at just $2.12. Also notable is that analysts, on average, expect the company to report EPS of $4.65 for 2023.American Express (AXP)American Express (NYSE:AXP) on July 22 reported much stronger-than expected second-quarter results and increased its full-year guidance. The credit card network explained that it was getting a major lift from strong travel spending.Showing that high-end consumers still have a great deal of strength left, American Express’ card member spending surged 30% YOY in Q2, excluding the impact of currency fluctuations.“Goods and Services spending, which is the largest category of spending on our network, continued its strong growth in the quarter, and spending by Millennial and Gen Z Card Members increased 48% on an FX-adjusted basis over last year,” said CEO Stephen Squeri.The card network raised its full-year revenue growth guidance to 23%-25% from 18%-20%. It maintained its 2022 EPS guidance of $9.25-$965.Bank of America (BAC)Like credit card networks, banks are benefiting from the continued strength of high-end consumers, and they are also getting a lift from higher interest rates.Bank of America’s (NYSE:BAC) revenue climbed 6% YOY last quarter, and its net interest income soared 22% YOY. Additionally, its “Average loan and lease balances” jumped 12% YOY to $1 trillion, while its average deposits climbed 7% YOY to $2 trillion.“Our strong organic growth engine once again was evident in new account openings for checking, consumer investments, and small businesses, as well as net new Merrill and Private Bank households and new commercial banking customers,” said Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan. “This solid client activity across our businesses, coupled with higher interest rates, drove strong net interest income growth and allowed us to perform well in a weakened capital markets environment,” the CEO added.Despite the bank’s strong performance and outlook, its forward P/E ratio is just 10.5.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PSQ":0.6,"AAPL":1,"BAC":1,"QID":0.6,"GOOG":1,"ROKU":1,"NQmain":0.6,"T":1,".IXIC":0.9,"GOOGL":1,"SNAP":1,"QQQ":0.6,"AMZN":1,"QLD":0.6,"PYPL":1,"MNQmain":0.6}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1295,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9983186293,"gmtCreate":1666181494012,"gmtModify":1676537718991,"author":{"id":"4120366584019782","authorId":"4120366584019782","name":"Pocariciro","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f53d5bc020157c1d2d843794b0e34219","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4120366584019782","idStr":"4120366584019782"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9983186293","repostId":"1110900706","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1110900706","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1666175502,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1110900706?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-10-19 18:31","market":"other","language":"en","title":"Nasdaq Futures Rise As Better-Than-Expected Netflix Results Keep Tech Gains Going","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1110900706","media":"Wall Street Journal","summary":"U.S. stock futures inched up ahead of earnings reports from major companies and data on the housing ","content":"<div>\n<p>U.S. stock futures inched up ahead of earnings reports from major companies and data on the housing market.Futures tied to the S&P 500 added 0.33%, pointing to muted gains after the broad market ...</p>\n\n<a href=\"https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/stock-market-news-today-2022-10-19?mod=markets_lead_pos1\">Source Link</a>\n\n</div>\n","source":"wsj_highlight","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
