#spy Was correct that market will turn south. Predicted correctly on S&P going negative. First time getting first on prediction. Wonder where I will go for the rest of the month.
$SIA(C6L.SI)$ Will I still continue to buy SIA? I just load up more in SIA recently. After the accident before Vesak Day, I do think the SIA share price may drop a lot, but it only dropped like $0.10 I proved that SIA brand name is good and safety wise is world best. Someone posted a question lately. Should we hold on to our losing stocks and sell away our winning stocks? I am having the same mentality as most investors. I will not sell away my losing stocks easily but will sell away my winning stocks once I have made around 5% to 10%. I started to question myself and this is my personal opinion only: 1. Look at Nvidia. When the price reached $500 per share last year, my colleague asked if he should sell. I told him he could take the profits already. Low and behold, it broke $1000 and reached to $1200 before stock split. We really have to look at the fundamentals of stocks before making decisions to sell or not. When to sell your shares? My friends and I discussed this during the National Day period. Most suggest to sell thebest stocks they are holding and keep the worst performing ones. Others suggest to cut losses and keep the best performing ones.I treat this similar to a job.If I am a boss, will I let go of my best staff ifhis salary reaches 20% of his original pay? And I continue to keep the worst performingstaff just because their salaries are the lowest? For me. I rather sell off the worst performingshares I am currently holding to cut losses. For stocks posting gains repeatedly is due to their own strategies for the next 5 to 10 years.
