Since then, he's managed through 12 more bear markets not including this one.Despite those downturns, Buffett has managed to create billions in value for himself and the shareholders of the company he runs, Berkshire Hathaway. If any investor is qualified to share wisdom on investing in bear markets, it's Buffett. So it makes sense to lean on his expertise to get through this tough climate with your wealth intact, right? To get you started, here are four of Buffett's famous rules for investing in a bear market.1. Buy quality merchandise on sale\"Whether we're talking about socks or stocks, I like buying quality merchandise when it is marked down.\"Buffett invests in high-quality businesses -- companies with a proven ability to create shareholder value through all economic climates. In his view, bear markets provide opportunities to buy these quality stocks at lower prices. As an example, Buffett's response earlier this year to the tech stock sell-off was to buy more of his favorite technology company, Apple. Although Apple already comprised more than 40% of Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio, Buffett bought another 3.78 million shares. You can mimic his strategy by identifying stocks you love for their long-term prospects. If your budget allows, increase your investing activity and pad your share counts while prices remain low.2. Hold forever\"Our favorite holding period is forever.\"When you buy stocks you'd like to hold forever, bear markets become far less stressful. Since your plan is to hold for the long run, you don't have to do anything when the market goes sideways. No reshuffling your portfolio and no guessing when share prices will bottom out. Your only job is to wait.3. Stay calm\"The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.\"It's normal and useful to second-guess your \"hold forever\" plan when circumstances change. Certainly, there will be times when you should drop a stock you thought was a keeper. The distinction you must make is whether circumstances have changed permanently or temporarily. And that's easier to do when you can analyze what's happening calmly and rationally. If you let your emotions take over, they can convince you to scrap your plan, cut your losses, or take some other dramatic action that's sure to dampen your long-term returns.4. Keep your distanceBuffett said this when asked what advice he had for investors in tough markets:\"I would tell them: Don't watch the market too closely.\"Let's say you're confident that your \"hold forever\" stocks can withstand a temporary bear market. And for that reason, you're not going to react to falling share prices. In that scenario, what's the benefit of tracking every bump along the way? There isn't one. It's OK to keep some distance from financial headlines when the market is going crazy. Consider it a survival strategy that helps you stay calm and stick to your investing plan.Buy or do nothingWhen a bear market sets in, you'll see Buffett mostly buy or hold. If you're questioning whether those are the right moves for your portfolio, remember this: Buffett is worth about $95 billion, and he has invested through more bear markets than almost anyone. His tactics can help you emerge from this bear market stronger and wealthier than ever.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"BRK.A":0.9,"BRK.B":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3226,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9049573135,"gmtCreate":1655821373527,"gmtModify":1676535711566,"author":{"id":"3572496817285200","authorId":"3572496817285200","name":"terry89","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a8f3d3a49b2f88f3d66f162d57b571e1","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572496817285200","authorIdStr":"3572496817285200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9049573135","repostId":"1146013913","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1146013913","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1655819622,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1146013913?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-21 21:53","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Palantir Shares Jumped 7.5% in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1146013913","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Palantir shares jumped 7.5% in morning trading after Palantir initiated with a Buy at BofA.BofA anal","content":"

Palantir shares jumped 7.5% in morning trading after Palantir initiated with a Buy at BofA.

BofA analyst Mariana Perez Mora initiated coverage of Palantir Technologies with a Buy rating and $13 price target. (NYSE:NIO) will face a challenging YoY comparison from FQ2'22 onwards, given the massive impact of China's ongoing Zero Covid Policy in Shanghai. The company would need to go above and beyond the impossible to achieve its delivery guidance of at least 23K vehicles in FQ2'22, given that Tesla (TSLA) had also struggled to reach pre-lockdown deliveries in May 2022. Given the complexity of auto supply chains, it is unlikely that NIO would be able to report an impressive YoY comparison in FQ2'22, thus suggesting a stagnant stock valuation and prices moving forward, if not a retracement. As a result, we would advise interested investors to wait and observe a little longer before adding more NIO stock to their portfolios.

Risk-averse investors would be well advised of NIO's potential delisting from the NYSE stock market, though it is also apparent that a secondary listing in Singapore has been completed.

Nonetheless, despite the multiple uncertainties, we reiterate our stand since our previous analysis, that NIO remains a promising EV stock with an interesting battery swap concept. As one of the leading companies in China, the company stands to gain critical market share from Tesla in China, in the EU market, and potentially in the US market, upon its eventual entry in the future.

Therefore, NIO stock is highly suitable for speculative long-term investors, despite its current lack of profitability and the political uncertainty in China.

NIO Reported Slowing Revenue Growth And Sustained Un-Profitability

NIO Revenue and Gross Income

S&P Capital IQ

NIO reported revenues of $1.56B in FQ1'22, representing a YoY increase of 27.8%, though in line sequentially. The deceleration in revenue growth is partly attributed to supply chain production capacity for now, though we expect to see improvements by H2'22. However, it is also apparent that there is increasing pressure on its gross margins, given that the company reports YoY lower gross margin of 14.6% in FQ1'22 compared to 19.5% in FQ1'21. With rising battery and chip costs, we expect NIO's gross margins to continue declining in FQ2'22 before potentially recovering once the price hikes kick in by FQ3'22.

In FQ1'22, NIO also delivered 25.7K vehicles for the quarter, representing in line sequentially and an exemplary increase of 37.6% YoY. NIO CEO William Bin Li said:

Despite the volatilities of the supply chain and the challenges in vehicle delivery resulting from the recent COVID-19 resurgence, we witnessed robust demand for our complementary products and achieved an all-time high order inflow in May 2022. The company has also been increasing its operational costs exponentially with a total of $595.6M expenses by FQ1'22, representing 38.1% of its revenues and an increase of 207.1% YoY. Nonetheless, given that NIO has kept its operating expenses relatively stable at an average of 33.6% in the past eight quarters, it is apparent that the management has been rather disciplined in cost control as well.

NIO R&D and Selling General & Admin Expenses

S&P Capital IQ

NIO Long-Term Debt, Cash/ Equivalent, and Share Dilution

S&P Capital IQ

Due to its lack of profitability, it is evident that NIO will likely rely on a combination of long-term debt and share-based compensation (SBC) for its expanding operations. By FQ1'22, the company had increased its reliance on debt by over 11-fold from $0.15B to $1.75B, while also diluting its shareholder by 55.5% since its IPO in September 2018. In FY2021 alone, NIO spent $158.5M in SBC, while drastically increasing the expenses to $74.6M by FQ1'22, representing an increase of 390.2% YoY. Assuming a similar rate of SBC expenses, we may expect the company to report up to $300M for FY2022. That would be a concern for many early investors, given that the company is not expected to report net income profitability until FY2024.

NIO Will Most Likely Fail To Deliver In FQ2'22

NIO Projected Revenue and Net Income

S&P Capital IQ

Over the next three years, NIO is projected to grow its revenue at a CAGR of 55.36% while also achieving profitability by FY2024 with a net income of $0.34B. For FY2022, consensus estimates that the company will report revenues of $9.15B with net incomes of -$0.88B, representing impressive YoY growth of 61% and 50%, respectively.

Nonetheless, given the ongoing Zero Covid Policy in China, there is a likelihood of a downwards re-rating for NIO's FY2022 revenue, given Shanghai's continuous lockdowns. The company itself had guided FQ2'22 revenues in the range of $1.47B to $1.59B against consensus estimates of $1.79B, representing up to a 5.7% decline QoQ though a 12.2% growth YoY. We are also not convinced of NIO's delivery guidance of at least 23K vehicles for FQ2'22, given that the company had only delivered 5.074K and 7.042K vehicles in April and May 2022 respectively, thereby requiring an ambitious delivery of 10.884K vehicles in June 2022. Though rather unlikely, we shall anticipate its delivery update by early July 2022.

In contrast, we may expect improvement by H2'22 once NIO successfully expands its production capacity while also entering the auto market in Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. Nonetheless, it is also important to note that these require an easing of China's Covid policy while a stabling of the global supply chain issues. We shall continue to monitor the situation.

In the meantime, we encourage you to read our previous article on NIO, which would help you better understand its position and market opportunities.

NIO: Down 55% With Supercharged Growth - Time To Buy Now

So, Is NIO Stock A Buy, Sell, or Hold?

NIO 3Y EV/Revenue and P/E Valuations

S&P Capital IQ

NIO is currently trading at an EV/NTM Revenue of 2.58x and NTM P/E of -47.22x, lower than its 3Y mean of 7.12x and -83.60x, respectively. As a result, we would advise interested investors to wait and observe a little longer before adding more NIO stock to their portfolios.Risk-averse investors would be well advised of NIO's potential delisting from the NYSE stock market, though it is also apparent that a secondary listing in Singapore has been completed.Nonetheless, despite the multiple uncertainties, we reiterate our stand since our previous analysis, that NIO remains a promising EV stock with an interesting battery swap concept. As one of the leading companies in China, the company stands to gain critical market share from Tesla in China, in the EU market, and potentially in the US market, upon its eventual entry in the future. Therefore, NIO stock is highly suitable for speculative long-term investors, despite its current lack of profitability and the political uncertainty in China.NIO Reported Slowing Revenue Growth And Sustained Un-ProfitabilityNIO Revenue and Gross IncomeS&P Capital IQNIO reported revenues of $1.56B in FQ1'22, representing a YoY increase of 27.8%, though in line sequentially. With rising battery and chip costs, we expect NIO's gross margins to continue declining in FQ2'22 before potentially recovering once the price hikes kick in by FQ3'22.In FQ1'22, NIO also delivered 25.7K vehicles for the quarter, representing in line sequentially and an exemplary increase of 37.6% YoY. NIO CEO William Bin Li said:Despite the volatilities of the supply chain and the challenges in vehicle delivery resulting from the recent COVID-19 resurgence, we witnessed robust demand for our complementary products and achieved an all-time high order inflow in May 2022. (Seeking Alpha)NIO Net Income and Net Income MarginS&P Capital IQNIO reported net incomes of -$287.8 and net income margins of -18.4% in FQ1'22, thereby highlighting its lack of profitability since its incorporation in 2014. The company has also been increasing its operational costs exponentially with a total of $595.6M expenses by FQ1'22, representing 38.1% of its revenues and an increase of 207.1% YoY. Nonetheless, given that NIO has kept its operating expenses relatively stable at an average of 33.6% in the past eight quarters, it is apparent that the management has been rather disciplined in cost control as well.NIO R&D and Selling General & Admin ExpensesS&P Capital IQNIO Long-Term Debt, Cash/ Equivalent, and Share DilutionS&P Capital IQDue to its lack of profitability, it is evident that NIO will likely rely on a combination of long-term debt and share-based compensation (SBC) for its expanding operations. That would be a concern for many early investors, given that the company is not expected to report net income profitability until FY2024.NIO Will Most Likely Fail To Deliver In FQ2'22NIO Projected Revenue and Net IncomeS&P Capital IQOver the next three years, NIO is projected to grow its revenue at a CAGR of 55.36% while also achieving profitability by FY2024 with a net income of $0.34B. For FY2022, consensus estimates that the company will report revenues of $9.15B with net incomes of -$0.88B, representing impressive YoY growth of 61% and 50%, respectively.Nonetheless, given the ongoing Zero Covid Policy in China, there is a likelihood of a downwards re-rating for NIO's FY2022 revenue, given Shanghai's continuous lockdowns. Though rather unlikely, we shall anticipate its delivery update by early July 2022.In contrast, we may expect improvement by H2'22 once NIO successfully expands its production capacity while also entering the auto market in Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. Nonetheless, it is also important to note that these require an easing of China's Covid policy while a stabling of the global supply chain issues. We shall continue to monitor the situation. In the meantime, we encourage you to read our previous article on NIO, which would help you better understand its position and market opportunities.NIO: Down 55% With Supercharged Growth - Time To Buy NowSo, Is NIO Stock A Buy, Sell, or Hold? NIO 3Y EV/Revenue and P/E ValuationsS&P Capital IQNIO is currently trading at an EV/NTM Revenue of 2.58x and NTM P/E of -47.22x, lower than its 3Y mean of 7.12x and -83.60x, respectively. The stock is also trading at $18.14, down 67% from its 52 weeks high of $55.13, though at a 55.4% premium from its 52 weeks low of $11.67. It is apparent that the NIO stock has been on sideways price action since our last analysis in April 2022.NIO 3Y Stock PriceSeeking AlphaGiven the macro issues and China's unrelenting Zero Covid Policy, we are of the opinion that pain will not be ending anytime soon. Therefore, NIO's delivery would likely continue to be impacted until then, further reducing any chances of stock recovery in the short term.Though consensus estimates had rated NIO as an attractive buy with a price target of $38.33, we are of a more conservative opinion of a potential retracement by early July 2022, assuming that the company could not deliver on its FQ2'23 vehicle target. As a result, we encourage investors to wait for a deeper retracement before adding to their portfolio. Therefore, we rate NIO stock as a Hold for now.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"09866":0.6,"NIO":1,"NIO.SI":0.6}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3244,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9055062055,"gmtCreate":1655218879777,"gmtModify":1676535587240,"author":{"id":"3572496817285200","authorId":"3572496817285200","name":"terry89","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a8f3d3a49b2f88f3d66f162d57b571e1","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572496817285200","authorIdStr":"3572496817285200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9055062055","repostId":"2243484620","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2243484620","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1655218797,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2243484620?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-14 22:59","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Cathie Wood Goes Shopping: 3 Beaten-Down Growth Stocks She Just Bought","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2243484620","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"As the markets continue to burn, Ark Invest's lead stock picker is charging into the inferno to scoop up more shares of these underappreciated gems.","content":"
\n
Cathie Wood, the CEO of Ark Invest, made her name by embracing innovative businesses in the early stages of their life cycle. If you've been paying attention to the stock market lately, you know that up-and-coming technology stocks have been under a lot of pressure.Despite prices that are sinking in the present, Wood thinks there could be big gains down the road for savvy tech stock investors who wait out the storm. Here are three stocks that are more than 77% below the peak prices they reached last year. Here's why Wood's convinced they can outperform over time.UiPathWood has been a big fan of UiPath since its stock market debut in April of 2021. Unfortunately, shares of this enterprise automation business have been hammered down around 78% from their post-IPO peak.Ark Invest's exchange-traded funds (Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETFs) have been buying up more shares of UiPath stock at beaten-down prices. Now, it's the seventh largest holding in the flagship Ark Innovation ETF.By emulating human clicks and keystrokes, UiPath's robotic process automation (RPA) platform brings the benefits of automation to office employees, even if they lack programming skills. For example, corrections departments in the Netherlands use UiPath's robots to fill out forms so employees have more time to actually rehabilitate the convicted.Businesses eager to retain talented employees are beating a path to UiPath's door. During its fiscal first quarter ended April 30, revenue rose 32% year over year to $254 million.Information technology professionals enjoy using UiPath but you don't need to be a programmer to put the platform to good use. This is a big advantage UiPath has over its competitors in the RPA industry. With the leading platform for people who can't program their way out of a wet paper bag, investors can look forward to a rapidly expanding customer base for the foreseeable future.RobloxWood was eager to buy up shares of Roblox late last year when it was trading near its all-time high. The stock has tumbled 79% from its peak, but that hasn't stopped Ark Invest from buying more shares of this metaverse stock with confidence.Roblox is all about individual gamers creating their own games, which is a lot more popular than you might expect. There were 54.1 million daily active users on Roblox in the first quarter which was 28% more than the previous year's period. The stock has been tanking because not as many parents are scrambling to find ways to keep their children entertained all day while they try to work from home. The important thing to remember here is that those kids will eventually get their own jobs.As the age range of Roblox's customer base expands, opportunities for monetization also improve. For example, this March, Sony, and Roblox teamed up to host a live concert with 24kGoldn, a multi-platinum artist who grew up with Roblox. Concert sizes are traditionally limited by venue sizes and geography. These aren't constraints in a virtual setting. Expect more artists who are eager to sell virtual merchandise to millions of fans at a single event to start holding virtual concerts on Roblox in the future.RokuRoku has tanked about 83% from the high water mark it set in 2021. The dramatic losses haven't darkened Wood's expectations for this streaming stock and its long-term future. Now that we're spending less time in our homes, usage of Roku-enabled devices isn't growing quite as quickly as it did a year earlier. Despite the challenges, Roku's still growing pretty fast. The company racked up 20.9 million streaming hours in the first quarter, which was 14% more than it recorded in the previous year period.More hours of engagement mean more revenue and serving targeted advertisements to connected televisions is an increasingly lucrative business. The growth stock's slide came as Tesla CEO Elon Musk expressed concerns about the economy in an email to employees, according to Reuters. In addition, Musk said the electric car company plans to cut about 10% of its workforce. This news comes at a bleak time for the economy and a difficult few months for Tesla. Regulation in China relating to policies aimed to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the region have negatively impacted the automaker's supply chain in 2022, including leading to periods of paused and limited production at the company's important factory in Shanghai.Given all that is going on, should investors be worried about Tesla?Don't forget: Sales are soaringWhile it's possible that Tesla's second quarter may be faring worse than expected, there's still a good chance that things are rosy compared to how many other companies are getting along during these challenging times. For instance, Tesla's Q1 production and deliveries soared 69% and 68%, respectively. Furthermore, management said it expected production to grow 50% or more for the full year despite the challenges it was facing from limited production in China and production constraints from some of its suppliers. In addition, Tesla has been raking in massive amounts of free cash flow. In Q1 2022, free cash flow was $2.2 billion -- up 660% year over year. Net income was $3.3 billion, representing more than a sixfold increase. Financials like this help companies get through difficult times and detours.Given the automaker's recent momentum and management's commentary about its full-year expectations at the time of its Q1 update, any worse-than-expected performance from Tesla will likely be far from a poor or even mediocre business outcome. Indeed, the company will likely grow much faster than all other major automakers in 2022 -- even in a tumultuous economic environment.TESLA FACTORY. IMAGE SOURCE: THE MOTLEY FOOL.Tesla has done layoffs beforeIt's also worth noting that Tesla is no stranger to layoffs. The company laid off employees back in 2019 amid its Model 3 production ramp-up. It was able to keep up extraordinary growth rates despite reducing its headcount by about 7%.While it is unfortunate for those employees who are losing their jobs, the reality is that companies can become bloated over time when it comes to headcount. From time to time, therefore, it may make sense for a company to reassess which jobs are the most essential and which ones may not be necessary.Given how well Tesla's last layoffs went, there's a good chance that this one could positively impact the company as well.Tesla will leave production headcount untouchedFinally -- and most importantly -- investors should keep in mind that this is a strategic layoff, leaving some important departments untouched.\"Note, this does not apply to anyone actually building cars, battery packs or installing solar,\" Musk wrote in the purported email to employees. This is critical because Tesla has remained supply constrained. In other words, demand continues to exceed supply; so the company's bottleneck at the moment is vehicle production.Overall, this strategic headcount reduction is likely good news for Tesla investors as it may make the company more nimble at a time of uncertainty. While headcount reductions don't make sense for every industry or for every company, it will likely prove to be a good decision for a capital-intensive business like Tesla in a highly competitive industry.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1395,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9050749026,"gmtCreate":1654250723365,"gmtModify":1676535420223,"author":{"id":"3572496817285200","authorId":"3572496817285200","name":"terry89","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a8f3d3a49b2f88f3d66f162d57b571e1","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572496817285200","authorIdStr":"3572496817285200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9050749026","repostId":"1184132067","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1184132067","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1654248343,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1184132067?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-03 17:25","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla, CrowdStrike, Lululemon and More: U.S. Stocks To Watch","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1184132067","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk said he ha","content":"

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk said he had a "super bad feeling" about the economy, and that employee headcount needed to be cut by 10%. Positive trends started to take off from the ground post-coronavirus pandemic but in vain. The Russia-Ukraine conflict, inflationary pressures, labor issues, and supply crunch are some of the macroeconomic factors, which once again dropped investors into murky waters.Extensive volatility in capital markets rose investor anxiety, which led S&P 500 to drop around 14.75% year-to-date.In such a gloomy scenario, it is difficult for investors to find stocks for long-term investments. Though every investor tries to conduct his own due diligence before adding stock to his portfolio, there are organizations known as hedge funds, one place to look for indications of upside. Investors can bank on these firms for insights to pick stocks.Tiger Global Management is an investment firm, which focuses on both public and private corporations in the global Internet, software, consumer, and financial technology industries to generate investment returns over the long term. Founded in 2001 byChase Coleman, Tiger Global manages discretionary assets worth about $124,655,466,641 and has a market value of $26.64 billion as of March 31, 2022. Coleman has a net worth of about $10.3 billion.Interestingly, during the period between 2007 and 2017, New York-based Tiger Global was the most successful firm amongst venture capital firms acquiring the highest amount of capital, per a Preqin Venture Report. Additionally, in 2020, the firm provided returns of $10.4 billion, ranking itself among the annual list of the top 20 hedge fund managers. However, 2022 so far has been a tough year for the hedge fund giant, with its long-only fund recording declines of 25% in April and a year-to-date loss of 52%, according to Bloomberg. This has reduced $17 billion in assets under management, with the fund experiencing a reduction of two-thirds of the cumulative gains made for investments since 2001, thanks to macroeconomic concerns. However, prior to this slump, Tiger Global had successfully delivered consistent outperformance compared with the S&P 500 with the exception of two years since its inception. Therefore, investors might be hopeful about the fund as the firm has revised its portfolio in the first quarter of 2022, liquidating many of its tech stocks, which have seen a massive sell-off recently.According to TipRanks, Coleman’s portfolio has gained 111.6% since June 2013 and averaged 11.01% over the past three years. The question stands, however, how can this information be helpful for the everyday investor? Hedge funds are required to file a 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) every quarter. This discloses most long positions to the public, which inculcates transparency into the financial system and boosts investor confidence in the capital market system.Taking all this into consideration, we take a look at two stocks, which were found to be worthy by Tiger Global for investments in the last quarter.CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity organization based in the United States that provides cloud-based systems to safeguard sensitive endpoints and prevent breaches, among other services. With a market capitalization of $34.17 billion, CRWD stock is trading near 52-week lows and plunged 25.74% year-to-date on a massive recent sell-off in tech stocks as investors dived towards safe-haven assets from high-priced stocks on macroeconomic issues. Disappointingly, shares shrugged off 34.54% over the last month.Nevertheless, with the growing popularity of cybersecurity providers as in the current era of digitization, network infrastructures have become highly exposed to cyberattacks, CrowdStrike expects to grow its annual recurring revenue (ARR) to more than $5 billion by Fiscal 2026.Additionally, with the expansion of its total addressable market (TAM) with new services and increasing its market share, the company expects the TAM for its current portfolio to augment from $58 billion in 2022 to $71 billion in 2024 and unveiled new services to boost its TAM to $126 billion in 2025.It seems that the sell-off has provided a much more attractive entry point to investors interested in the stock, with hedge funds buying in.This past quarter, Tiger Global Management picked up 1.27 million shares of CRWD, amounting to a market value of $162.8 million. For Tiger Global, this was a 16% change in its holding position and indicates his confidence in the stock. In line with Tiger Global’s bullish stance, recently, Alex Henderson, an analyst at Needham, maintained a Buy rating and a price target of $340 on the stock based on the company’s long-term growth prospects. Henderson’s price target implies 130.87% upside potential over the next 12 months.Recommending investors to buy and hold these shares, the analyst said, “We recognize the potential for downdrafts in CRWD from time to time as the company moves with market swings given its high beta. We are long-term buyers of CRWD for multi-year out-performance. While a period of consolidation is possible, we think CRWD is a unique investment vehicle with exceptional long-term value potential.”Turning to Wall Street, consensus among analysts is a Strong Buy based on 19 Buys versus one Hold. The average CrowdStrike price target of $276 implies 87.41% upside potential from current levels.Sea Limited(SE)Sea Limited is a Singapore-based internet and mobile platform company that offers digital content, e-commerce, gaming services, and payment platforms. With a market capitalization of $44.9 billion and recording losses of more than 64% year-to-date, SE stock is trending towards its 52-week low price. The broad technology sell-off and troubles at Sea’s gaming unit (Garena) shook investor confidence. Nevertheless, based on operating leverage and efficiency gains at Sea’s e-commerce unit, Shoppee, and fintech unit, SeaMoney, the company fits into buying the dips strategy for long-term investors. Also, at the recent earnings release, Forrest Li, Sea’s Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “With the significant scale, strong leadership, and clear synergies achieved by both businesses in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, our consumer internet ecosystem in the region is naturally approaching a stage of long-term profitable growth.”“While Garena experienced headwinds in its growth post-COVID, we saw some preliminary positive effects from our efforts to improve user engagement in Free Fire. In particular, the monthly user trends for Free Fire began to show some early signs of stabilizing toward the end of the first quarter,” Li added. In Q1 2022, Tiger Global Management reflecting confidence in the stock bought 2.13 million shares of SE, increasing its holdings by 18%. This amounted to a market value of $172.06 million.Recently, Stifel Nicolaus analyst Scott Devitt reiterated a Buy rating on SE but lowered the price target to $115 (43.37% upside potential) from $160 on lower-than-expected first-quarter results and continued macro uncertainty.Nevertheless, Devitt commented, “Sea operates an established, profitable asset with its Garena segment that should help fund investments in its developing businesses (Shopee, payments) as they scale and gain market share. With leverage to strong emerging growth markets and leading market positions, we like the Sea platform, however, view risk/reward in shares as fairly balanced.”In line with Devitt’s bullish stance, the stock has a Strong Buy consensus rating based on 15 Buys and two Holds. The average Sea price target of $185.71 implies 131.53% upside potential.Bottom LineEven historically-stable stocks do not appear safe at the moment in the recent volatile markets. Taking insights from hedge funds could prove to be a smart move for investors to make prudent investment decisions for potential long-term returns. Total revenues are expected between $900 million and $905 million.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings stayed at 97 cents per share over the past 30 days. The company had reported earnings of 20 cents per share in the year-ago quarter.

The consensus mark for revenues is pegged at $905.2 million, suggesting 175.8% growth from the figure reported in the year-ago quarter.

Zoom Video Communications, Inc. Price and EPS Surprise

Zoom Video Communications, Inc. price-eps-surprise | Zoom Video Communications, Inc. Quote

Zoom’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in all of the past four quarters, the average surprise being 73.2%.

Let’s see how things have shaped up for this announcement.

Factors to Watch

Zoom’s fiscal first-quarter revenues are expected to have benefited from the coronavirus-induced work-from-home and online-learning wave despite the vaccination campaigns.

Notably, the company’s freemium business model helps it win customers rapidly, whom it can later convert into paying customers. Net dollar-expansion rate on a trailing twelve-month basis was more than 156% in fourth-quarter fiscal 2021. The momentum is expected to have continued in the to-be-reported quarter.

Further, the availability of Zoom For Home, which supports remote working for business professionals, has been a key catalyst.

Additionally, this Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) company’s strong partner base, that includes the likes of Atlassian, ServiceNow and Dropbox, is expected to have benefited the company in winning enterprise customers in fiscal first quarter. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

However, Zoom Video continues to face significant competition from the likes of Cisco, Microsoft and Google Meet. QuoteZoom’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in all of the past four quarters, the average surprise being 73.2%.Let’s see how things have shaped up for this announcement.Factors to WatchZoom’s fiscal first-quarter revenues are expected to have benefited from the coronavirus-induced work-from-home and online-learning wave despite the vaccination campaigns.Notably, the company’s freemium business model helps it win customers rapidly, whom it can later convert into paying customers. Net dollar-expansion rate on a trailing twelve-month basis was more than 156% in fourth-quarter fiscal 2021. The momentum is expected to have continued in the to-be-reported quarter.Further, the availability of Zoom For Home, which supports remote working for business professionals, has been a key catalyst.Additionally, this Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) company’s strong partner base, that includes the likes of Atlassian, ServiceNow and Dropbox, is expected to have benefited the company in winning enterprise customers in fiscal first quarter. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here. However, Zoom Video continues to face significant competition from the likes of Cisco, Microsoft and Google Meet. This might have led to loss in small and medium business customers, which is likely to have hurt top-line growth.Key Q1 HighlightsDuring the to-be-reported quarter, Zoom announced $100 million venture fund called Zoom Apps Fund, aimed at stimulating growth of Zoom’s ecosystem of Zoom Apps, integrations, developer platform and hardware. Moreover, during the quarter, Zoom and Formula 1 announced that they have entered a new extensive multi-year partnership across the upcoming 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship racing season and beyond.Further, in February, Zoom announced the availability of Zoom Rooms that will help organizations safely re-enter the office and sustain an “everywhere workforce”.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ZM":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":335,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":101980249,"gmtCreate":1619836691181,"gmtModify":1704335564263,"author":{"id":"3572496817285200","authorId":"3572496817285200","name":"terry89","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a8f3d3a49b2f88f3d66f162d57b571e1","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3572496817285200","idStr":"3572496817285200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Comment and like pls","listText":"Comment and like pls","text":"Comment and like pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/101980249","repostId":"1142063705","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":909,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9097480219,"gmtCreate":1645530756893,"gmtModify":1676534036236,"author":{"id":"3572496817285200","authorId":"3572496817285200","name":"terry89","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a8f3d3a49b2f88f3d66f162d57b571e1","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3572496817285200","idStr":"3572496817285200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9097480219","repostId":"1156868694","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1156868694","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1645447174,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1156868694?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-21 20:39","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Top Tech Stocks That Will Make You Rich by Retirement","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1156868694","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"KEY POINTSMicrosoft can ride cloud computing growth for decades.ASML enables advanced computing, and","content":"

KEY POINTS

Microsoft can ride cloud computing growth for decades.

ASML enables advanced computing, and there is no alternative to its EUV tools.

CrowdStrike is a leader in cybersecurity that benefits from strong network effects.

These stocks have compelling competitive advantages and growth prospects. The best way to do that may be growth stocks and dividend growth stocks, which, after the recent tech sell-off, are now trading at much better valuations.

Times of market turmoil are uncomfortable, but usually the best time for long-term investors to put money to work. Here are three growth stars with competitive advantages, giving them staying power and a path to making today's investors rich decades out into the future.

Microsoft

Microsoft would make an excellent core holding for both aggressive and defensive investors. Its legacy operating system is an entrenched part of most personal computers in the world, and its software franchises including the Office productivity suite and Dynamics enterprise resource planning suite are cash cows that are growing at a solid pace. Meanwhile, Microsoft's solid number two position in cloud computing has given it a rising growth star, with the Azure cloud platform growing 46% last quarter. The company has also been making thoughtful acquisitions over the past few years under CEO Satya Nadella, into social media with LinkedIn, developer tools with GitHub, and video games, with acquisitions of several game studios culminating in a recent offer to buy Activision Blizzard.

Microsoft's sprawling empire thus has a nice combo of cash cows, growth stars, and emerging products and services, compounding your investment dollars at very high returns on invested capital. Add in a growing 0.9% dividend and consistent share repurchases, and investors get a bit of everything, including cash returns and impressive growth.

Microsoft might not look cheap at 31 times earnings, but when you consider it has a higher credit rating than the U.S. government, and that the 30-year U.S. Treasury bond only yields 2.25% today, Microsoft's 3.3% earnings yield looks pretty good. That's especially true since those earnings are still growing over 20% per year despite the company's huge size.

ASML Holdings

You may have heard that we are in a semiconductor shortage, due to the boom in digitization coming out of the pandemic. The importance of chips and chip-making has never been more at the forefront, as evidenced by developing nations set to give billions in subsidies to chip companies just to keep some capacity on their own shores. Yet due to the wider tech sell-off, the semiconductor index is down about 14% to start the year.

The sell-off has been especially bad for higher-multiple chip stocks like ASML Holdings, which is down 18.6% for the year and 27.4% from all-time highs set back last summer. Still, ASML deserves a high multiple, given that it has a monopoly on extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) -- a key technology to producing leading-edge chips.

EUV tools only began to be used a few years ago for leading-edge logic chips, and all the major DRAM memory companies are now beginning to use EUV on current and future nodes. So, we are still in the early innings of EUV usage.

Although ASML projects solid 25% shipment growth this year, its growth is still severely constrained by supply chain and logistics problems. On the last conference call with analysts, CEO Peter Wennink said for many of its tools, shipments were 40% below current demand.

Amid interest rate fears, ASML has now rerated to a more palatable 40 times trailing earnings. But like Microsoft, it offers a compelling combination of cash returns in the form of buybacks and a growing 1% dividend, along with inevitable earnings growth well into the future. It's another quality stock to buy amid this year's sell-off and tuck away for decades.

CrowdStrike

Unlike the previous two stocks, cybersecurity disruptor CrowdStrike doesn't pay a dividend or buy back stock... at least not yet. However, when looking out five or 10 years, that could very well be a possibility.

CrowdStrike takes its name from its business model. The company amalgamates threat data from endpoints across all its customers into a single, centralized threat graph that gets smarter from that data. A company that gets stronger as it gains more customers benefits from what's called a network effect, which is a powerful advantage that gives a company excellent staying power.

Fortunately for CrowdStrike but unfortunately for the rest of us, cyber-threats are only proliferating. The Biden Administration recently issued stricter new guidelines for large businesses and government agencies to update their cyber systems, meaning more and more companies will now be compelled to buy best-in-class solutions like CrowdStrike's.

CrowdStrike is also investing aggressively to capitalize on that opportunity, both internally and through several acquisitions to augment its core endpoint protection offering into a comprehensive cyber platform. Management anticipates its addressable market could more than double over the next three years to $116 billion, if it succeeds in bringing new products to market.

CrowdStrike has also given an indication it could one day be quite profitable. The company's current free cash flow margin is 32%. While investors should be aware that leaves out significant stock-based compensation, the company doesn't seem to have pressing cash needs, and stock-based comp should diminish as a percentage of revenue over time as CrowdStrike scales.

Looking out a decade or more, CrowdStrike looks like a long-term winner. It still trades at a lofty 30 times sales, but it's down 43% from its November highs amid the growth-stock sell-off. Now may be a time for long-term investors to look at this leader in the high-growth cybersecurity industry.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Top Tech Stocks That Will Make You Rich by Retirement
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Top Tech Stocks That Will Make You Rich by Retirement\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-02-21 20:39 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
KEY POINTSMicrosoft can ride cloud computing growth for decades.ASML enables advanced computing, and there is no alternative to its EUV tools.CrowdStrike is a leader in cybersecurity that benefits ...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"ASML":"阿斯麦","MSFT":"微软","CRWD":"CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc."},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/02/21/3-top-tech-stocks-that-will-make-you-rich-by-retir/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1156868694","content_text":"KEY POINTSMicrosoft can ride cloud computing growth for decades.ASML enables advanced computing, and there is no alternative to its EUV tools.CrowdStrike is a leader in cybersecurity that benefits from strong network effects. These stocks have compelling competitive advantages and growth prospects.
