Analysts can push junk names like $NEBIUS(NBIS)$ and $CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$ while manipulating estimates to crush stocks like NKE. Nike's earnings weren't bad at all. First-quarter revenue came in at $11.21 billion, missing analyst estimates of $11.33 billion. That's a miss of just a few million, almost nothing. Still big positive cash flow and dividends.
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ Re-posting a comment from Seeking Alpha that I thought was worth sharing: "I think people are tremendously underestimating what Nebius is building with Token Factory. Fireworks, Baseten, CoreWeave and others are doing some of these individual pieces extremely well. But I don't see anyone attacking the entire problem from the underlying infrastructure all the way through production inference and integrating it as tightly as Nebius. Eigen, Clarifai and now Inferize aren't random acquisitions. Nebius is systematically optimizing the model, kernels, orchestration, utilization and scaling, all on top of infrastructure they control. Everyone is focused on GPUs, power and gigawatts. I think the eventual
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ There were also some earlier analyst actions from August and July that stood out. DA Davidson, Citigroup, Baird, Northland Capital Markets, Freedom Capital Markets, and others all either raised price targets or initiated coverage on NBIS during the broader summer period.
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ NBIS has picked up a few analyst upgrades and target raises this month. BNP Paribas led the way, moving it to Outperform with a $399 target. William Blair initiated coverage at Outperform on Sept. 30, and BNP Paribas upgraded NBIS from Neutral to Outperform on Sept. 24, raising its price target from $260 to $399. Truist Securities also started coverage at Buy with a $355 target on Sept. 9.
$CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$ My guess is someone knew the algorithms were going to sell off AI stocks into the end of the month. That would explain the 3 million plus shares added short over the past two days. But it looks like buyers kept stepping in. They wanted a red close both days and couldn't pull it off.
$CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$ This ticker is wild. Are we really supposed to believe it gets pumped and dumped every morning? I'm not happy about max pain sitting at $86 this Friday. Could that still play out even with $Micron Technology(MU)$ earnings coming up? $Micron Technology(MU)$ max pain is at $1015, with the current price at $1067. I want this to be bullish, but if we only look at max pain, it doesn't look great for bulls.
$AIB Data Centers(AIB)$ Slingshot is bouncing back to $1.60 with big volume. It has the biggest news in the market today with this massive deal involving NBIS.
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ Market cap will end up bigger than PLTR. Just wait and see over the next couple of months. All the fud against AI trades will come crashing down.
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ Looks like Burry gave up on the short side for now. He thinks it's going to pump hard in the near term, and I tend to agree. The bulls probably won't be as generous to shorts as they have been recently. 350 in the first week of October.
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ Data centers should keep flourishing as the largest hyperscalers put money in to keep things economical and safe for the community. From the AI conference that wrapped up with Trump, it doesn't sound like much was accomplished on the government guardrails side.
$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ AMD's acquisition of World Labs looks like a move to expand its AI software, modeling, and simulation capabilities. The AI market is moving fast enough that system-level knowledge now goes well beyond traditional semiconductor expertise. World Labs engineers could accelerate system-level AI platform development and open up new markets like robotics. The $8.2B all-stock deal seems like a pull-in of R&D spending that would have been needed anyway to build this technology in-house. Management's aggressive approach to expanding AI capabilities is impressive.
$NEBIUS(NBIS)$ $Micron Technology(MU)$ Probably still going to get drilled for a bit. Uptober soon, and after midterms heading into Christmas should be promising. Have to survive until then.
$CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$ Went from green to 4.5% red on less than half average volume. Hard to see this as anything but selling pressure. The MM/HF algos make a corrupt joke out of the market.
