Is SpaceX the Next Tesla? What Space Stock is Your Pick?

DXYZ jumped 10%, and EchoStar gained over 6% after reports that SpaceX is advancing plans for a 2026 IPO with a fundraising target far exceeding $30 billion — potentially the largest IPO in history. SpaceX is aiming for a valuation of around $1.5 trillion. Rocket Lab, the second-best space company after SpaceX in 2025, delivered what analysts call a “masterclass in execution.” Space stocks have surged over 100% year-to-date. Have you boarded the space-stock rally? Is space the “next Tesla of 2019”? If SpaceX goes public, would you join the IPO?

I have participated only selectively in the space-stock rally. Most listed space names are still driven more by narrative than cash-flow certainty, so risk control matters more than conviction. Calling space the “Tesla of 2019” is partly accurate, but incomplete. Like EVs back then, space has a strong story and long runway. Unlike Tesla, however, commercial monetisation is slower, more capital-intensive, and heavily reliant on government contracts. Outcomes are therefore more binary and timelines longer. If SpaceX were to IPO, I would be interested, but disciplined. SpaceX has clear technological leadership and execution credibility, which sets it apart from most peers. That said, valuation would likely be aggressive, with early price action driven by scarcity and sentiment rather than fu

🚀 Is SpaceX the Next Tesla? Space Stocks, Speculation, and What the Rally Is Really Pricing In 🧠📈 Reports that SpaceX is accelerating plans for a 2026 IPO, potentially targeting a valuation north of $1.5 trillion, reignited one of the most powerful narratives of 2025: space as the next frontier trade. The market reaction was immediate: • DXYZ +10% • EchoStar +6% • Listed space names up 100%+ YTD But before calling SpaceX the “next Tesla of 2019,” it’s worth separating technological dominance, capital intensity, and public-market reality. ⸻ 🔍 Why SpaceX Is Fundamentally Different SpaceX isn’t just another aerospace company — it’s a vertical monopoly in the making. What makes SpaceX unique • 🚀 Launch dominance: Reusable rockets with unmatched cadence • 🛰️ Starlink: Recurring revenue + global

SpaceX won’t be the next Tesla for one straightforward reason: the business economics don’t scale the same way. Tesla sells a mass-market product with falling production costs and global demand. Space companies face heavy capex, slow contract cycles, and limited market size. There is no path for a launch company to compound like an EV manufacturer. The hype comparison is unrealistic. Therefore a safe alternative would be....HK Aerospace Technology Group (1725 HK). Actual satellite manufacturing capability via its subsidiaries, not concept-only. Government-aligned projects in satellite data, remote sensing, and smart-city applications demand is structural, not speculative. Revenue visibility from commercial and state-linked contracts gives it more stability than the typical “space” story. V
I own $Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$, $AST SpaceMobile, Inc.(ASTS)$ and $BlackSky Technology Inc.(BKSY)$. Generally speaking IPOs are a bad idea as they tend to rocket in the first few weeks then plummet after the hype subsides and reality sets in. I’ll reserve judgement on space X until I see the past financials. I will definitely ignore any projections beyond looking at levels of realism.

SpaceX feels like Tesla in its early days—high risk, mission-driven, and constantly pushing boundaries others said were impossible. Reusable rockets, Starlink, and Starship aren’t just engineering wins; they’re about slashing costs and scaling fast. The big difference? SpaceX doesn’t sell directly to everyday consumers (yet), so its impact shows up less in stock portfolios and more in global infrastructure. If Starship succeeds, it could unlock a whole new space economy—launch, manufacturing, even settlement. Tesla proved that first-principles thinking can disrupt a legacy industry. SpaceX might prove it can reshape an entire frontier. 🌍➡️🌌 What do you think—overhyped, or just getting started?

$AST SpaceMobile, Inc.(ASTS)$ $D-Wave Quantum Inc.(QBTS)$ 🧠 I’m watching positioning break before price, not the other way around I’m running my short squeeze screener and what stands out is not sentiment, it’s imbalance. These are names with double-digit short interest, average short prices far below spot, and in several cases rising short interest even as price trends higher. That is not bearish conviction, that is structural stress. When momentum asserts itself, exits stop being optional. 🌍 I’m tracking where shorts are most exposed across my top 10 Crowded shorts under pressure right now include: $QBTS $RKLB $ASTS $LITE $GRAL $ARWR $GH $SATS $RGTI Across this basket, shorts are deeply underwater, real

I’m fully on board with the space-stock rally, and the excitement around a potential SpaceX IPO really feels like Tesla in 2019—right before its major breakout. Space names such as $Destiny Tech100 Inc(DXYZ)$ , XOVR, Rocket Lab, Firefly, Planet Labs, SATS, AST SpaceMobile are gaining because investors finally see space infrastructure as a scalable, long-term growth sector. What’s driving this momentum is the belief that SpaceX is evolving far beyond a launch company. Starlink, defense contracts, rapid-launch capability, even the idea of space-based data centers are expanding its valuation outlook. Strong earnings from Planet Labs & SATS’s multibillion-dolla

🌟🌟🌟The space sector is booming.  At the heart of this excitement is $Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ often called a mini SpaceX.  It is an evocative comparison that hints at the same disruptive spirit and innovation that have made SpaceX a household name. Rocket Lab is an emerging leader in a volatile but fast growing industry.    Rocket Lab's share price has been going up like a rocket to the moon as it is up 29% in the past 5 days and 154% year todate. This can be attributed to Rocket Lab's recent success in major new contract wins, positive analyst ratings and growing market anticipation for its upcoming reusable Neutron rocket launch.  Neutron is designed to rival SpaceX's Falcon 9. Rocket Lab is a high growth , hig

🌌🚀🔥 SpaceX IPO Shockwave, $1.5T Valuation Lock In, and Orbital AI Compute as the Unstoppable Force Multiplier 🔥🚀🌌

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ $Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ 🧭 Ownership Structure And The Asymmetric Upside Window I am convinced SpaceX is setting up one of the most asymmetric listings in modern market history. Elon Musk owns 42%, Founders Fund holds 10.4%, Google Ventures owns 7.4%, and the remaining 30% sits with strategic investors. If SpaceX IPOs at a $1.5T valuation, his stake alone is worth roughly $625B, lifting his net worth towards about $952B. There is currently around a 67% probability on Polymarket that SpaceX’s closing market cap exceeds $1T, while earlier contracts traded closer to 54%. Secondary tenders have already drifted toward $400B this year as investors price in a structural rerating, no

$Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ 🚀 RKLB Just Went Wild and I’m Still Long 🌍✨ Yeah so $RKLB pushing 23% has me kinda buzzing today. The 5% intraday move off that KAIST update just felt different. They pulled the launch forward to Thursday arvo NZT and it’s already their 19th mission this year. Then they’ve got the JAXA one after that which makes the whole flow feel way more controlled. It’s the first time in a while the structure has actually held without wobbling. Tbh the space sector hype is firing again with everyone talking about a possible SpaceX IPO in 2026. Kinda feels like if that really happens it lifts everything with it. You can see positioning shift whenever the sentiment spike
