From AI capex to AI revenue—the monetisation cycle is becoming clearer. 🔄

1️⃣ Hardware: NVIDIA supplies the GPUs and computing infrastructure needed to build AI capacity. Its latest results showed data-centre revenue reaching US$89 billion, up 117% year-on-year—evidence that infrastructure demand remains exceptionally strong.

2️⃣ Cloud: Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Oracle install these chips in data centres, then monetise them by renting AI computing power to developers and enterprises.

3️⃣ Software: Companies such as Salesforce use that cloud capacity to embed AI into real business workflows. Customers pay through subscriptions, AI add-ons and usage-based fees—turning computing power into recurring software revenue.

4️⃣ Security: As more applications and data move into AI environments, demand for protection increases. CrowdStrike’s ARR reached US$5.84 billion, showing how cybersecurity also benefits from expanding AI adoption.

The key takeaway: heavy AI capex is beginning to translate into cloud usage, paid software workflows and recurring security spending.

This strengthens confidence that AI demand is real and monetisation is happening—not just through chip sales, but progressively across the entire technology stack.

The next test is whether downstream revenue can continue growing fast enough to justify the scale of infrastructure investment.

Hardware → Cloud → Software → Security → More chip demand 🔁

Nvidia Lifts Buyback Authorization to $235B — Who's Buying the New High?
Nvidia closed +1.34% at $233.95 Friday after an intraday record $237.88, market cap near $6T. No fresh news: the board added $150B to the buyback, authorization now $235B through Jan 2028. Chips rose: AMD +2.95% to $633.91, past $1T for the first time, +196% YTD; Broadcom +3.35% to $355.14. Intel alone fell -0.56% to $119.33. Bulls say $235B of buying cushions the price; bears say buybacks lift EPS, not next year's data-center orders — which $6T already assumes. When does a buyback stop being support?

Cloud capex guidance is the cleaner tell here. If the next quarter spend stays elevated, Nvidia demand probably keeps flowing through software and security too
