Dell shares have rallied 285% YTD through Wednesday, leaving other major AI infrastructure plays in the dust. Micron is up 219% and AMD is up 126% over the same stretch. The stock has nearly quadrupled this year and kept pushing higher Thursday, with solid momentum across PC and server markets, plus a strong earnings report from Lenovo adding fuel.
Mizuho trading-desk analyst Jordan Klein pointed out just how extreme Dell's outperformance has been, noting the stock has gained more than almost every large-cap tech name. The move reflects a lot of enthusiasm around Dell's exposure to the AI infrastructure buildout, especially demand for servers and data-center equipment.
Other AI-related names also moved higher — Super Micro Computer among them — while CoreWeave and Lumentum slipped. Lenovo's results gave the sector another boost, reinforcing the view that demand for AI servers and related infrastructure still has room to run.
