I've continued to DCA into Palantir (PLTR) during this recent pullback because my long-term investment thesis remains unchanged. While the stock has experienced significant volatility, I view the decline as a healthy correction rather than a deterioration in the company's fundamentals. Market sentiment can shift quickly, but I prefer to focus on the business rather than short-term price movements.
What gives me confidence is Palantir's strong position in the AI software market. The company continues to benefit from growing demand for its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), with both government and commercial customers increasing adoption. As organizations race to integrate AI into their operations, I believe Palantir is well positioned to capture a meaningful share of this long-term trend.
Another reason I am buying gradually is that DCA helps reduce the risk of trying to perfectly time the bottom. No one knows exactly when the pullback will end, and waiting for the "perfect" entry point often results in missing opportunities. By spreading my purchases over time, I can take advantage of lower prices while managing risk in an uncertain market environment.
Looking ahead, I still see Palantir as one of the most compelling AI software companies in the market. The company has a strong balance sheet, growing profitability, and exposure to some of the most important technology trends of the next decade. While short-term volatility is inevitable, I view the current weakness as an opportunity to build a larger position for the long term rather than a reason to panic.
As a retail investor, I focus mainly on the US and Singapore markets, combining a mix of technical trading and long-term investing strategies. I enjoy analyzing charts, spotting patterns, and making calculated moves based on both market sentiment and fundamentals. While I'm not a professional, I treat my portfolio seriously and continue to learn and grow with each trade.
