This is not unjustified, as Intel is currently fighting against the growing competition, which has resulted in declining sales and profits. The company is achieving some decent developments, but its investment case is ultimately highly speculative.Intel’s (NASDAQ: INTC) stock price has more than halved from its 52-week highs. The legendary semiconductor manufacturer has lately found itself under tremendous pressure, as competition is eating its lunch and its future expansion prospects remain uncertain. That said, with shares now trading at the same levels they did around a decade ago and the dividend yield standing at a juicy 4.9%, investors have been arguing back and forth whether Intel makes for an attractive buying opportunity or if it presents a value trap, bearing further losses ahead. Due to Intel’s future success in the semiconductor industry appearing wildly speculative, I am neutral on INTC stock. What’s Wrong with Intel, Anyway? The core issue with Intel starts with the fact that the company has failed to innovate for more than a decade. Once the dominant player in the space, Intel is now seeing its sales plundered by its competitors. The biggest threat comes from Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD), which is using Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE: TSM) fabs, eradicating Intel’s previously monopolistic qualities. You may wonder what stops Intel from investing in new technologies and capabilities. Well, there’s something called Moore’s law, which is a key concept in the semiconductor space. It basically states that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles roughly every two years. The “law” works surprisingly well in predicting the future course of the industry, and thus semiconductor companies like Intel utilize it to set their R&D targets. The problem, however, is that the semiconductor industry is super capital-intensive. So, projecting your future R&D needs is pointless if you can’t fund them. Now, combine that with the fact that Intel’s revenues have been declining, resulting in compressed margins and, thus, suppressed profits, and you can see why it may not be able to keep up with Moore’s law. This case implies that the company will gradually decay against its competitors’ momentum, whose growing profits will spur further innovation, leaving Intel further behind as time goes by and so on.That’s what’s wrong with Intel and why institutional investors, including hedge funds, have sold the stock off to oblivion lately. What is Intel Doing to Advance Forward?Ok, so Intel’s future prospects appear bleak as its declining profits make it increasingly hard to keep up with the competition while already being in a tough spot. This doesn’t mean, however, that its management team sits with their hands between their legs. The company does seem to try to get out of its current predicament. Specifically, in Q3, Intel presented the Semiconductor Co-Investment Program, a revised, new funding model for its capital-intensive needs. As part of this program, Intel made a deal with Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM), under which the two companies will collectively invest up to $30 billion in Intel’s manufacturing expansion in its Arizona plant. Brookfield is considered one of the best asset management firms globally, with a decades-long market-beating track record. This is a great vote of confidence for Intel.Furthermore, Intel has made headway toward forming a geographically balanced, protected, and resilient semiconductor supply chain as it recently commenced two state-of-the-art chipmaking facilities in Ohio. These sites are supposed to drive a new era of innovative products from Intel, which, combined with Brookfield’s backing, may just be what will save the company from its forenamed predicament. Or, it may not, and the truth is, nobody can tell you what the general outcome is going to be.What to Consider When Valuing IntelValuing semiconductor companies is tricky, but that’s especially true with Intel. To say that the stock is cheap or expensive based on its projected earnings is incidental. For instance, Intel is currently trading at a forward P/E of 14.6x based on this year’s projected earnings ($2.05/share).On the one hand, this is a rich multiple for a cyclical company whose earnings are on the decline. On the other, it’s a cheap multiple if Intel’s earnings were to rebound towards, say, last year’s levels. Ultimately, however, no valuation metric is going to tell you whether the stock is a good buy or not because it all comes down to where Intel will be in five or ten years from now, which is very hard to predict given its current state. Is INTC a Good Stock to Buy, According to Analysts?Turning to Wall Street, Intel has a Hold consensus rating based on three Buys, 17 Holds, and eight Sells assigned in the past three months. At $29.25, the average Intel stock forecast implies 2.1% downside potential.Takeaway: It’s Better to Stay on the SidelinesIntel has attracted very mixed ratings from analysts lately, which aligns with my point that its investment case is currently wildly speculative. The market may celebrate or criticize its earnings in the short term, but ultimately its results over the next few quarters will only partially matter when it comes to where the company is headed.Regardless, unless investors see tangible developments that will ease their minds regarding what Intel’s chances are of winning its future battles against its competitors, shares will likely remain depressed. Accordingly, I will remain neutral on the stock for the time being.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"INTC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1466,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9961178922,"gmtCreate":1668904339267,"gmtModify":1676538125399,"author":{"id":"3582967351944758","authorId":"3582967351944758","name":"DrSam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2161cecb6376985512402ff4b6052ccc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582967351944758","authorIdStr":"3582967351944758"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good ","listText":"Good ","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9961178922","repostId":"2284370776","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2284370776","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1668819879,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2284370776?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-11-19 09:04","market":"us","language":"en","title":"7 Top-Tier Dividend Stocks to Buy for 2023","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2284370776","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"While the names and sectors vary, all of these stocks have one thing in common – they’re among the b","content":"
\n
While the names and sectors vary, all of these stocks have one thing in common – they’re among the best dividend stocks you can buy as 2022 comes to a close.Lockheed Martin (LMT): The defense ...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n","source":"investorplace","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; If you’re like most investors, you probably can’t wait for 2023. History books will show that 2022 was a huge disappointment for the stock market, although it did create some compelling opportunities for top-tier dividend stocks.First of all, dividend stocks are a huge benefit in any portfolio. Dividend stocks pay a quarterly or monthly payment to shareholders, who can use the money for income (a great idea for retirees). Or for younger investors, a regular dividend payment can be reinvested into the market to help grow your portfolio quicker. My Dividend Grader is a great tool to find these top-tier dividend stocks to buy. The Dividend Grader evaluates dividend stocks on a variety of metrics and assigns a letter grade – just like in school, the best dividend stocks get an “A” or “B” rating. It’s similar to my Portfolio Grader tool, which also grades stocks based on earnings, analyst sentiment, momentum and qualitative standards. You can find great dividend stocks to buy in a variety of sectors – this list includes defense, energy, biotech, materials and real estate. While the names and sectors vary, all of these stocks have one thing in common – they’re among the best dividend stocks you can buy heading into 2023.Lockheed Martin Geopolitical tensions aren’t great for a lot of reasons, but one way to capitalize is defense contractors like Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT). Lockheed Martin is one of the biggest and most well-known contractors in the world and is always among the best dividend stocks to buy. While the stock market spent much of 2022 in correction territory, LMT is up more than 30% on the year as the U.S. keeps a wary eye on the war in Ukraine and tensions with China and North Korea. No doubt, Lockheed Martin makes money hand over fist. It brought in $16.58 billion just in the third quarter. While the company narrowly missed estimates of $16,68 billion, that appears to be a minor setback. Lockheed reaffirmed its outlook for the full year, for which it says it expects revenue of $65.25 billion and full-year earnings per share of $21.55.Lockheed provides a solid dividend yield of 2.6%, helping push it to an “A” rating in the Portfolio Grader and a “B” rating in my Dividend Grader.Amgen As a top biotech stock, Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN) is on the cutting edge of providing treatments for a variety of ailments, including rheumatoid arthritis, bone cancer and psoriasis. While it’s not a household name, Amgen has succeeded in building an impressive pipeline of medications that keeps that revenue and earnings rolling in.Revenue in the third quarter was $6.65 billion, topping estimates by $100 million. Earnings per share were also solid at $4.70 per share, better than the $4.45 that the experts predicted.Meanwhile, the stock is up more than 18% so far this year with most of those gains coming since early September when Amgen impressed investors and analysts alike by unveiling updated long-term positive data about the effectiveness of Repatha drug that is used to treat high cholesterol.AMGN stock has a dividend yield of 2.7%. It has an “A” rating in the Portfolio Grader and a “B” rating in my Dividend Grader.Arbor Realty Trust If you’re looking for reliable income from a stock, it rarely hurts to consider the best real estate names in the market. One of the best right now is Arbor Realty Trust (NYSE:ABR), which is involved with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan programs, FHA and low-income loans, and bridge loans.Arbor is a real estate investment trust or REIT. REITs are special types of investments because they are required to distribute 90% of their taxable earnings to shareholders. That can create some pretty extraordinary payout ratios and ABR is no exception – currently, it pays a dividend yield of 10.8%.Admittedly, with high interest rates there’s always a risk that the housing market will be slow for a while. But ABR doesn’t seem to be affected by the problem. Arbor topped top- and bottom-line estimates for revenue and EPS in each of the first three quarters.Arbor Realty has a “B” rating in the Dividend Grader.Star Bulk Carriers Star Bulk Carriers (NASDAQ:SBLK) has a stock price just under $20, but it paid a mammoth dividend over the last year of $6.55.Its last three quarterly dividends came in at $1.25, $2 and $1.65. So, you’re looking at a dividend yield for SBLK of more than 30% right now.Star Bulk transports dry bulk goods around the world on its fleet of 128 vessels. As the world is still coming to grips with the effects of Covid-19 shutdowns on the supply chain, Star Bulk’s vessels appear to be in demand. That should keep the profits coming in for shareholders.SBLK stock has a “B” rating in my Portfolio Grader and an “A” rating in the Dividend Grader.Diamondback Energy Texas-based Diamondback Energy (NASDAQ:FANG) is an energy exploration company that is involved with petroleum, natural gas liquids and natural gas.Its holdings are in the Permian Basin in west Texas, where it also recently acquired the assets of Lario Permian, a subsidiary of Lario Oil & Gas Co., in exchange for $850 million plus 4.18 million shares of FANG stock. The deal gives Diamondback access to another 25,000 acres in the Northern Midland Basin. The deal is expected to close in late January. That keeps Diamondback in growth mode. The company reported revenue in Q3 of $2.44 billion, which was more than 30% greater than a year ago. The revenue number also beat analysts’ expectations of $2.42 billion. EPS for the third quarter was also a pleasant surprise, coming in at $6.48 versus expectations of $6.36.FANG stock is up 48% so far this year and offers a dividend yield of 5.3%. Not surprisingly, it has “A” ratings in both the Dividend Grader and the Portfolio Grader.Commercial Metals As a major provider of recycled steel, Commercial Metals (NYSE:CMC) maintains operations in the United States and Poland. Its recycled metals are used in bridges, roads, automobiles, airports and other major buildings. The company is the largest manufacturer of steel reinforcing bar, known as rebar, in North America and central Europe.Earlier this month, CMC completed its acquisition of a Texas metal recycling facility and related assets from Kodiak Resources, adding another 55,000 tons of annual capacity to its portfolio.Earnings for the company’s fiscal fourth quarter beat estimates on both the top and bottom lines. CMC reported revenue of $2.41 billion and EPS of $2.45, versus estimates for $2.37 billion revenue and EPS of $2.23.Commercial Metals stock is up 30% so far this year and has a dividend yield of 1.4%. That gives it “A” grades in both the Dividend Grader and the Portfolio Grader.Devon Energy No stock on this list has grown as much in 2022 as Devon Energy (NYSE:DVN). Fueled by higher oil and natural gas prices, Devon stock is up more than 60% on the year. And even if the globe sinks into a recession, Devon stock should be fine because analysts project crude oil prices to remain high for the next several years. On Nov. 1, Devon announced a dividend of $1.35 per share; a 61% increase from a year ago. That puts Devon’s dividend yield at a whopping 7.3%.The Oklahoma company should also benefit from the Biden administration’s deal with the European Union. Washington wants to reduce the EU’s reliance on Russian natural gas by providing at least 15 billion cubic meters of liquified natural gas in 2022.As long as Russia remains at odds with the west, companies like Devon stand to capitalize in European markets.DNV stock has an “A” rating in the Portfolio Grader and the Dividend Grader.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"LMT":1,"ABR":1,"SBLK":1,"FANG":1,"TTTN":0.9,"QNETCN":0.9,"CMC":1,"AMGN":1,"DVN":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1105,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":9964055451,"gmtCreate":1670038837873,"gmtModify":1676538293923,"author":{"id":"3582967351944758","authorId":"3582967351944758","name":"DrSam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2161cecb6376985512402ff4b6052ccc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582967351944758","idStr":"3582967351944758"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good article ","listText":"Good article ","text":"Good article","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":11,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9964055451","repostId":"1152464265","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3818,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9098115260,"gmtCreate":1644041968707,"gmtModify":1676533885754,"author":{"id":"3582967351944758","authorId":"3582967351944758","name":"DrSam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2161cecb6376985512402ff4b6052ccc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582967351944758","idStr":"3582967351944758"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yes I still long term value with Metaverse ! The CEO and co-founder of ARK Invest was buying stocks on Thursday during the market deluge. She's had a rough run since a highly rewarding 2020 for her family of exchange-traded funds (Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETFs). You have to respect someone that's still looking to buy falling growth stocks when the market is at its worst. What was she buying this time? Wood added to her existing stakes in Shopify, Roku, and Sea Limited on Thursday. Let's see what she may be seeing in these former market darlings that have fallen on hard times.ShopifyAnnouncing a stock split doesn't guarantee that a stock will pop. Shares of Shopify plummeted 37% last month, despite announcing plans for a 10-for-1 split. Like many high-profile growth stocks, shares of the popular e-commerce platform provider have had a rough run in the market.April was bad, and May isn't shaping up to be any better. The stock plummeted 15% on Thursday after a disappointing financial report. Revenue decelerated through the first three months of this year, clocking in with a mere 22% year-over-year advance. Rising costs obliterated the bottom line; earnings came in 71% below what analysts were targeting. The tailwinds that helped Shopify deliver jaw-dropping growth until recently weren't going to last forever. However, this week's surprising shortfall on both ends of the income statement is both problematic and opportunistic. The financial update wasn't encouraging, but the stock now finds itself 77% below where it was at its November peak. The forward-thinking e-commerce solution that lets merchants of all sizes easily sell their wares across emerging social media platforms and their own digital storefront hasn't lost its relevancy. Shopify should recover from this setback.RokuAnother company that has shed nearly 80% of its peak value but is still growing is Roku. The pioneer of video streaming on TV is a leading in an expanding niche. There were 61.3 million homes leaning on Roku by the end of March, and these are active accounts in every sense of the term. The average account is streaming nearly 3.8 hours a day on the platform. We've seen Roku's audience and total hours streamed grow 14% over the past year, silencing bearish arguments that folks will turn off their TVs and enjoy the great outdoors as the COVID-19 landscape improves following the vaccinations introduced last year. Advertisers also know that Roku consumers are worth reaching. Average revenue per user is up 34% over the past year.Supply chain issues have slowed the production of its dongles, but Roku has enough deals in place with smart TV manufacturers to be the factory installed operating system of choice for many leading brands. After breaking through with a profit last year, analysts don't see a return to positive net income until 2024. It's not an ideal situation, but as long as Roku's audience keeps growing -- and those cradling the Roku remote controls keep watching -- the stock should eventually get back on track.Sea LimitedSome companies are lucky to dominate one niche, but Sea Limited is a giant in three important industries. The Singapore-based speedster is a major player in e-commerce, online gaming, and fintech. It's not firing on all cylinders right now. It sees direct entertainment bookings -- basically its gaming arm -- declining sharply this year. It's been a challenging year for the online gaming market, particularly in Asia. However, its now larger e-commerce segment is expected to see its revenue soar 76%. Its smaller fintech division is expected to see its top line climb 155% this year.Growth will slow at Sea Limited this year from the 106% year-over-year burst it posted the last time it reported quarterly results. Sea Limited will have a financial update in two weeks. Analysts see revenue growth slowing to a 37% clip this year and a 35% pace in 2023, but that's still respectable for a company of Sea Limited's size.Shopify, Roku, and Sea Limited have all seen their shares fall by at least 77% since peaking last year. Yet they continue to be strong growth stocks, delivering healthy year-over-year growth right now. Cathie Wood may be on to something here.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SHOP":0.9,"ROKU":0.9,"SE":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":894,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9014837295,"gmtCreate":1649638162429,"gmtModify":1676534541741,"author":{"id":"3582967351944758","authorId":"3582967351944758","name":"DrSam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2161cecb6376985512402ff4b6052ccc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582967351944758","idStr":"3582967351944758"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Go miners ! One stock I think can grow 10 times over the next 10 years is Airbnb (NASDAQ:ABNB).

Why Airbnb is different

The reason Airbnb has caused such a stir is because it shakes up a traditional way to travel. Previously, trying to find a vacation rental required long searches, and there were limited reviews and no industry standards to go off of. Airbnb changed all that with its platform, standards, and reviews. It's not the only game in its industry, but it's the biggest. It has more than 400,000 hosts signed into its platform, and every new host or property offers more for customers. Because it's so simple for the company to add properties, it has enormous potential for growth, in both the short and long term.

Some catalysts for growth

Airbnb's model is conducive to growth, but there are many catalysts beyond that. One of them is the shift toward more local stays generated by the pandemic. When people couldn't travel far, they traveled close. Does that mean it will change when travel completely resumes? I don't think so. Certainly, international travel will pick up when global restrictions end. But now that more people have been exposed to trip ideas they may not have thought about previously, I think these will remain viable options going forward. However, Airbnb will benefit either way. As travel resumes, more people now have Airbnb on their radar, wherever they choose to stay.

Another catalyst is the trend toward longer stays. Stays of 28 days or more exploded during the pandemic, and the work-from-home trend will continue to drive this segment. In the company's third-quarter shareholder letter, the company said, "This newfound flexibility is blurring the lines between traveling and living." Of any travel company, Airbnb is qualified to run with this. This was Airbnb's fastest-growing category in the second and third quarters in 2021, and will probably be when it reports fourth-quarter earnings as well. It accounted for 20% of nights booked in the third quarter, and it demonstrates that Airbnb has become more than a travel company -- it's a hybrid travel and living company, and management is vigorously tapping into this model as a way to move forward. It recently announced that CEO Brian Chesky will be living in Airbnb rentals for a year to gain knowledge about the experience, and I wouldn't be surprised if the company completely shifts gears to market itself in this way; I'd be more surprised if it doesn't. This represents a whole new world of opportunities on top of its already ripe ones from its current model.

More reasons to be believe in the stock

Another detail in airbnb's favor is that it became profitable last year. That's always a worry for growth companies, which invest in growth and often don't demonstrate profits until they're highly scaled. Airbnb has passed that point, posting $834 million in net income in the third quarter, and management said it expects greater margin expansion in the fourth quarter than the third.

Airbnb stock hasn't performed well over the past year, falling almost 20%. However, investors can look at it as an opportunity to buy shares on the dip. Even at this price, shares trade at a steep 103 times forward one-year earnings. Indeed, the Fed’s aggressive tightening pace as it attempts to rein in stubborn inflation gets much of the blame for the market’s 2022 downturn.

SOURCE: RAYMOND JAMES

U.S. stocks started the week higher with the S&P 500 closing up by 0.7% on Monday. The S&P 500 shed 1.1%, and the Nasdaq Composite slid 0.9%.

According to Colas, the phenomenon of a “Fed Drift”, which sees that equities have tended to rally into and through FOMC meetings and hold their gains the day after, no longer works.

The New York Federal Reserve Bank studied data from 1994 to 2011, which showed the S&P 500 index normally rose 24 hours before the scheduled FOMC announcements. It then drifted sharply higher in the morning of the announcement, and was on average flat, both in the hours immediately after the decision and on the following day.

Markets are pricing in a hike of 75 basis points, with futures showing a 16% chance of a full percentage point increase, according to CME’s FedWatch Tool. Indeed, the Fed’s aggressive tightening pace as it attempts to rein in stubborn inflation gets much of the blame for the market’s 2022 downturn.SOURCE: RAYMOND JAMESU.S. stocks started the week higher with the S&P 500 closing up by 0.7% on Monday. However, stocks came under pressure on Tuesday as investors held firm on expectation of another aggressive rate hike. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished 313 points lower, or 1%. The S&P 500 shed 1.1%, and the Nasdaq Composite slid 0.9%.According to Colas, the phenomenon of a “Fed Drift”, which sees that equities have tended to rally into and through FOMC meetings and hold their gains the day after, no longer works.The New York Federal Reserve Bank studied data from 1994 to 2011, which showed the S&P 500 index normally rose 24 hours before the scheduled FOMC announcements. It then drifted sharply higher in the morning of the announcement, and was on average flat, both in the hours immediately after the decision and on the following day.Markets are pricing in a hike of 75 basis points, with futures showing a 16% chance of a full percentage point increase, according to CME’s FedWatch Tool. Investors expect the Fed will not only set a new Fed funds rate but will give them a glimpse to how high it will go in the future.According to Larry Adam, chief investment officer at Raymond James, the company foresees an additional 75 basis points before year-end, which will be combined at the November and December meetings and bring the policy rate to 4%.“First, the action taken thus far has already impacted the more interest-rate sensitive areas of the economy, especially the housing market,” Adam wrote in a client note dated Sept.16. “Second, although the easing of inflation has been more stubborn than expected, there are a number of real-time indicators that suggest it will cool further in the months ahead (e.g., promotional activity, declining ocean freight rates, lower commodity prices).”That is why Adam contends that the worst of this bear market is “likely being behind us” as inflation will moderate over the next year, but the path is “unlikely to be quick or smooth”.“Over the coming weeks, the bear market will likely take time to digest the inflationary data flow with back-and-forth trading,” Adam wrote. “With this in mind, we recommend not chasing rallies and using pullbacks as opportunities to accumulate favored stocks for the next bull market.”","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".SPX":0.6,".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":515,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
