TikTok forms US data security joint venture, ByteDance retains largest stake

TikTok announced the establishment of a US data security joint venture to be responsible for data protection and algorithm security. ByteDance holds 19.9% of the shares and is the largest single shareholder. The joint venture company is managed by a seven-member board of directors.
