2022 Investing Review
Not gonna lie I didn't really invest a lot. I tried to find instances where the market had perhaps overreacted and tried to buy the dip, sometimes to horrendous consequences eg Forte Biosciences and T2 biosystems. They've dropped to the point I opted to hold cos there was so little value left.
That said ironically, with the same methods as above, my best performing investment has been Netflix. I bought 2 shares (yes I don't have that much capital for now) and thought I bought the dip. It dropped a good $30 more from my purchase price of $215 before the insane rally. I sold off one share to keep some earnings but I really am curious to see how it plays out.
With higher interest rates, I've been playing it safer and have been putting money in bonds eg SSB or TBills in SG. Think 2023 could potentially be a recession but we shall see. Hopefully not, but it's worth keeping an eye on value buys. Next time I'll be doing more deep diving before purchasing a stock.
