IT IS WHAT IT IS

$SpaceX(SPCX)$  $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$

Here is what is on deck for SpaceX tonight and what Meta and Tesla will face tomorrow:

Key Focus is AI & Infrastructure Spend: SpaceX has ramped up massive AI investments (spending $15.8 billion of its $18.4 billion Q2 capex on AI), with reports that it is seeking up to $40 billion in debt financing to acquire AI infrastructure/chips. Investors want to see if these investments yield sustainable adjusted profitability.

Starlink & ARR Targets: Markets are looking for progress toward the target set by Elon Musk to reach a $100 billion+ Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) pace, alongside momentum in Starship orbital deployments and launch reusability.

Can Meta Follow ???

The AI Spend vs. Cash Flow Dilemma: Meta's full-year 2026 capex guidance sits at a staggering $130B to $145B. In Q2, high capital expenditures squeezed free cash flow down to $784 million, triggering a post-earnings pullback.

Meta must show that core advertising revenue growth remains strong enough to justify its massive AI compute spending.

Can Tesla Follow ???

The Margin Pressure: While Q3 vehicle deliveries were solid (486,532 units), analyst consensus projects EPS to fall ~14.5% year-over-year (to ~$0.21–$0.33) due to continued auto margin pressure.

What Tesla Needs to Prove is the Margin Recovery. The market needs evidence that automotive gross margins (ex-regulatory credits) have stabilized or bottomed out.

AI & Autonomy Monetization: Investors want updates on Full Self-Driving (FSD) adoption, Robotaxi timeline targets, and AI compute deployment to evaluate Tesla's broader tech valuation.

[Cool]  Summary :

Markets are taking a critical view of massive AI infrastructure spend across the board. If SpaceX shows solid execution and path-to-profitability on its AI and Starlink investments tonight, it could set a constructive tone—but Meta and Tesla face distinct operational hurdles (Meta's free cash flow squeeze and Tesla's margin compression) that require solid guidance to sustain investor confidence.

SpaceX AI Revenue Surges 830% YoY — Does the Valuation Framework Need Rewriting?
SpaceX reported after hours Tuesday: revenue $14.58B (+161% YoY), net income $4.4B, EBITDA $8.81B. Its AI Superintelligence unit posted $7.56B (+830% YoY), surpassing aerospace and Starlink to become SpaceX's largest segment for the first time. Separately, Anthropic's IPO filing showed $16.3B in first-half revenue and up to $750B in long-term compute commitments. SpaceX closed -0.11% at $147.79 before the print. Can SpaceX's AI unit sustain the growth needed to support a further valuation re-rating?
