Critical Resources (ASX:CRR) has secured exclusivity to acquire a 90% interest in the Gadu Manda Gold Project covering approximately 29km2 in Suriname.

The project adds to the company's existing Gonini and Greenstars projects secured under exclusivity in September.

The consideration comprises US$200,000 in cash over two years, an initial US$10,000 exclusivity fee, 2,500,000 shares, and a US$200,000 minimum exploration commitment.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to due diligence and prior written approval from the Minister of Natural Resources.

Following the announcement, the Critical Resources share price was unchanged at $0.009.

The permit area features historical small-scale mining activity where workers excavated pits and trenches that exposed quartz veining.

The property lies approximately 4km west of the open pits at Zijin's Rosebel gold mine, which has produced over 6 million ounces of gold since 2004.
