  • Following the update, Ingenia Communities shares rose significantly on the market.

  • Warburg Pincus maintains its conditional cash offer of $5.25 per security while conducting due diligence.

Ingenia Communities (ASX:INA) and private equity firm Warburg Pincus have extended their negotiation deadline to Oct. 23, to finalise a process deed regarding a potential $5.25 per security cash acquisition proposal.

The housing provider stated that it has granted Warburg Pincus comprehensive access to corporate books to conduct due diligence during this interim period.

The company noted that these ongoing discussions do not alter its existing obligations under a separate scheme implementation deed with residential developer Peet (ASX:PPC).

Terminating the arrangement with Peet remains a mandatory condition for any potential binding transaction with Warburg Pincus.

The board stated that it has not yet determined whether the Warburg Pincus proposal constitutes a superior offer.

Following the announcement, the Ingenia Communities share price was up at $4.68.

The residential community operator maintains a portfolio across Australia while evaluating corporate transactions to deliver value to securityholders.
