The pattern matters more than any single name. The deepest drops are in the most AI-leveraged, highest-beta stocks. That looks like de-risking of the AI capex trade, not a broad flight from quality. The pre-market bounces of 2-4% suggest dip-buyers are already stepping in, but a bounce on thin pre-market volume is the least reliable signal on the screen.
The bear case is that these stocks priced in near-flawless AI spending growth, and the market may be shifting from rewarding spending to demanding returns on it.
I'd avoid acting on a single red day. I'd decide in advance what would change my thesis on each holding so that a 6% daily drop doesn't force a decision.
A pullback only becomes an opportunity once you know what you'd be wrong about. [Miser]
