Great experience and lesson sometimes still not learned.//@Shyon:Honestly, I feel like I've unlocked the ultimate achievement of experiencing all 8 of these painful trading moments firsthand. From watching a stock rocket right after I sold to holding a bag after buying the top, the market always finds a way to humble us.
The one that definitely hurt the most is #5: Big gains on paper… but now it’s red. Watching a position sit comfortably at +50% and refusing to lock in profits, only to ride it all the way down into a 10% loss, is a unique kind of emotional damage.
Another classic facepalm moment is #7: Picked the winner... but bought too little. I remember nailing the research and picking a massive winner, but only putting in a tiny allocation, watching it surge +100% while my heavy-conviction positions stayed completely flat!
