On Thu, 24 Sep 2026, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed nearly flat, while the Dow fell as higher Treasury rates kept stocks under pressure. In the bond market, the 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.163%, settling Thursday at its highest level since 2007.
This as US Treasury 10-year yield hovered near multi-year highs around 5.205%–5.22%, and the 30-year yield touched levels not seen since 2004 (5.50%) on mounting rate-hike expectations
