BTC Breaks $80K: Bear Flag Invalidated, Bull Case Strengthens

BTCUSD (Update) 3-Month High, It was not a Bear Flag.

Previously highlighted the contrast between the late-2025 “bear flag” and the early Q1 2026 base forming off the $60,000 floor, with notably bullish divergence in relative strength in the latter. Spot has now reclaimed $80,000 for the first time since January 31, 2026. This is a position I have been building via ETF since early March.

$BTCUSD is only 3.8 x ATR% from 50-MA and less than 2 x ATR from its declining 200-MA. 200-MA can be recaptured as early as this week on its current price volatility.

Ahead of Circle's Earnings: Can CLARITY Act Be a Breakthrough?
Circle is set to release its first quarterly earnings as a public company, with key focus on USDC reserve interest income amid the Fed's elevated rate environment and whether stablecoin circulation can breach a critical milestone. The central debate is whether the CLARITY Act's regulatory framework will force higher reserve requirements or compress Circle's rate advantage, while Tether's dominance in global markets remains a persistent ceiling on USDC growth. Will regulatory compliance prove a moat or a cost center for Circle — this report is the first direct test?
