Market At The Bottom? Which Mag 7 is the Best Buy Now?
πππThe bottom is never a place we can see clearly while standing in it. It is only obvious in hindsight when everyone suddenly becomes a genius.
Is this a good time to buy?
Sentiment is fragile - that is when bargains appear.
When fear is elevated, volatility spikes and everyone is waiting for confirmation, the best prices often slip by unnoticed.
You don't need to catch the exact bottom.
You just need to buy great companies at fair or discounted prices.
Take for example the Magnificent 7. They seem to have lost their magnificence.
Which Mag 7 is the Best Buy Now?
$Amazon.com(AMZN)$
Why it is the no. 1 bargain:
Trading at its lowest forward P/E since November 2008 - a 17 year valuation low.
AWS is still huge and its retail weakness is cyclical, not structural.
Price compression is extreme relative to long term cash flow potential.
Historically cheap even in price to cash flow (9.7x).
Why is Amazon down so much?
The USD 200 billion Capex is one of the major factors. Wall Street does not like big spending before big profits.
But here is what most investors miss:
New AI optimised data centers.
Power infrastructure, doubling its grid capacity
Trainium3, Titanium4, Inferentia Chips.
AWS AI Cloud expansion.
Project Kuiper satellite network.
AI partnerships and model hosting.
Amazon is building the AI backbone for the next decade and beyond.
But in the short term? The market sees only one thing:
Capex up = margins down.
Concluding Thoughts
Amazon is down because the market hates short term pain. However Amazon is spending to dominate the next 10 years of AI compute.
This is the season where future wealth is built. Not when everything is calm and expensive. But when the market is fearful, moody and mispricing giants.
Warren Buffett has famously said:
Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful.
Fear creates bargains. Greed creates bubbles. The crowd is usually wrong at emotional extremes. Long term wealth is built by acting opposite to the herd.
