✨Tuesday — Singapore Stocks
Singapore stocks opened higher on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) gaining 0.7%. Key gainers included YZJ Shipbuilding and Singtel, both up 2%, while DBS, SingPost, Wilmar, and OUE Reit rose 1%.
ST Engineering secured a contract from the Ministry of Defence for next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicles, with deliveries starting in 2028. Mapletree Logistics Trust reported a 9.3% year-on-year decline in Q3 DPU to S$0.01816. Keppel Infrastructure Trust obtained a S$100 million loan facility. OUE Reit announced a 10.6% increase in H2 DPU to S$0.0125. Low Keng Huat is set to be privatized after the offeror secured 93.84% of its shares.
Steel tycoon You Zhenhua's New Vision and The Ascott commenced construction on Ascott Shenton Way Singapore, a mixed-use development featuring hotel rooms and serviced apartments. Additionally, the Ministry of Health stated that around 750,000 Singaporeans will qualify for the expanded Matched Retirement Savings Scheme (MRSS) in 2026, with about 185,000 eligible for the new Matched MediSave Scheme (MMSS).
