🌟🌟🌟2025 is finally here - A New Year - Fresh beginnings. Setting goals is important to me as it provides me with a compass to chart my course for 2025.
I have 2 key goals this year - My Financial Goal and My Health Goal.
Under Financial Goal, I use a 3 bucket strategy that categories my assets into 3 separate buckets. Bucket A is for my short term income needs. This will cover my daily expenses and essential expenditure such as rental, utilities and food. This also includes the occasional splurge and some emergency cash for unexpected expenditure.
Bucket B is for income to build my long term wealth and financial security.
Bucket C is the money I allocate for my travels.
At the beginning of each year, I will decide how much I want to allocate to each bucket and set an action plan on how to achieve my financial goals for the year.
My Health Goal for this year is to work on my 3Ms. The 3 Ms stand for Mind, Muscle and Mouth. For the 1st M - Mind, I intend to set aside every week to read books on how to improve my health and practise meditation daily. For the 2nd M - Muscle, I plan to improve my fitness by going to the gym at least 3 times a week and go for walks daily. For the 3rd M - Mouth, I plan to be more intentional on what I eat daily and cook more healthy food at home.
I know that goals depend heavily on habits. I will focus on my daily and weekly habits that will drive progress. This means I will establish habits such as meal prepping and schedule gym sessions. Building habits creates sustainable results and will reduce my reliance on motivation alone.
I know that achieving my goals for 2025 requires consistent effort, planning and accountability.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. After the first step, another step and yet another step. In fact it is a series of small steps that will help me achieve my goals for 2025.
2025 will be a phenomenal year and I am so excited to embark on my journey to achieve my goals this year.
