On October 20, President Donald Trump used X to attack Adam Hamilton, Senator Roger Marshall’s opponent, and urged Kansans to re-elect Marshall.
Trump called Hamilton a “Radical Left Phony” who pretends to be moderate, saying Hamilton opposed his Travel Ban and supports “flooding Kansas with unvetted refugees.” He alleged Hamilton used church dollars to fund “anti-religious transgender activists,” promotes a document listing 125 genders, and directs followers to 7 websites to “make children transgender.” Trump said Hamilton believes America is systemically racist, that white people must “repent” for being white, and that Kansans should repent for eating beef. He added that Hamilton donated to Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama, wants to take away guns, and “He has an ‘F’ rating from the N.R.A.” He further alleged Hamilton “shielded a child sexual predator at his church” and never contacted law enforcement, instead letting him return as a camp counselor.
Trump vowed to protect gun rights, writing, "With Roger Marshall in the Senate and me as your President, we will ALWAYS protect your Second Amendment right to KEEP AND BEAR ARMS!" He defended Marshall over debt-collection controversies as legally required conduct, saying a judge ordering arrests for repeated no-shows “is not Roger Marshall’s fault — IT IS THE LAW.” Casting Marshall as a “Number One Champion” against predatory credit card swipe fees, Trump claimed the bill would save the typical American “2,000 Dollars a year” and promised, if voters elect Roger and a Republican Congress, “I will sign it into LAW!” He concluded with a November 3 appeal to send Hamilton “back home” and re-elect Marshall.
