On October 18, President Donald Trump posted on X to announce his full support for Bibi Netanyahu’s re-election as Israel’s prime minister and to claim that Iran has been “systematically destroyed” militarily and financially.

Trump praised Netanyahu as a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and “an even greater Partner for Peace” in combating the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling him “Strong, Brave, and Brilliant.” He referenced what he called a “51 year old chant” from Iran — “Death to Israel, Death to America! We will destroy the Little Satan and the Big Satan.” He wrote: “Please let this Letter serve to represent my Complete and Total Endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu in his upcoming Race for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Israel.”

Trump added that “they have been systematically destroyed, both Militarily and Financially,” and warned that “If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves,” asserting he is “not inclined to do so.” He framed Netanyahu as the kind of partner the United States “is demanding of Israel,” concluding with emphatic support for Netanyahu’s bid.
