On Oct. 20, President Donald Trump said on X that he signed an executive order waiving the Off-Road requirement for Red-Dye Diesel and announced a Department of Agriculture “Harvest Fuel Relief Program” with $8 billion to offset diesel costs.

Trump said the order, signed two weeks earlier, would allow Farmers, Truckers, and others to fill up with diesel “totally TAX FREE.” In remarks aimed at Kansas, he accused Governor Laura Kelly of refusing to provide such relief and urged voters to back Ty Masterson for governor: “If you want low-cost Diesel Fuel, you must VOTE FOR TY MASTERSON FOR GOVERNOR!”

Announcing new federal support, Trump wrote: “Tonight, I am also pleased to announce that the Department of Agriculture will be launching a new ‘Harvest Fuel Relief Program,’ providing our Farmers with 8 BILLION DOLLARS in support to offset Diesel costs during this Harvest Season,” crediting Roger Marshall as the leader who fought for it. He added that when Republicans win, they will pass even more funding for farmers, and said fuel prices would come down as soon as “the Iran War” is over, which he asserted would happen very quickly.
