Trump: Cornyn and Rove hinder Ken Paxton

On October 15, President Donald Trump posted on X alleging that John Cornyn and Karl Rove are making it harder for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to win an upcoming midterm election.

Trump asserted that “John Cornyn, and his Liddle’ Buddy, Super RINO, Karl Rove, are doing everything possible to make it hard for Ken Paxton … to win the upcoming Midterm Election.” He added that Cornyn “after my Endorsement, lost the Primary to Ken by a very wide margin,” and criticized Rove, saying he “shouldn’t be allowed to spew his jealousy on FoxNews.” Trump also derided Paxton’s opponent James “TalaFREAKO,” calling him the “ANTITHESIS of Texas Values.”

To bolster his appeal, Trump cited voting figures: “Trump won 96% of the Counties in Texas, 242 of 254. Harris won only 12 counties (FoxNews),” and wrote that he won “by MILLIONS of Popular Votes, the Highest in the History of Texas.” He then urged a shift in support: “your favorite President (ME!) is asking all of those who supported Senator John Cornyn to UNITE, and immediately switch your support to Ken Paxton.” Trump further said that if Paxton loses, it would be because of “WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Political Hacks” who have opposed him throughout his political career.
