I expect a spurt in shares early but this may be contained as markets have largely ignored what is happening in the Gulf these days. Both Trump and Iran have less influence now.
The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz will ease inflation, but the previous high oil prices were undoubtedly an economic punishment that will bring the risk of stagflation in the coming months. The economic slowdown could come faster than expected last year.
