Ireland issued 2 billion euros ($2.35 billion) in the syndicated tap of the 3.00% October 2043 green bond on Wednesday, one of the lead manager banks said.
Books for the transaction closed in excess of 35 billion euros, including 1.5 billion euros in joint lead manager interest, the same bank said.
The spread on the bond was set at midswaps plus 34 basis points. The tranche was issued at a yield of 3.642%, Ireland's National Treasury Management Agency said.
"Investor appetite for Irish government bonds remains strong, and we have now raised almost 70% of the midpoint of our 10 billion euros to 14 billion euros bond funding range for the year," Dave McEvoy, NTMA's director of funding and debt management, said in a press release. "This leaves us well positioned heading into the second half of 2026."
BofA Securities, Citi, Danske Bank, Davy, Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan were the joint lead managers.
