当地时间4月12日，美国总统特朗普在社交媒体平台发文称，即刻起，美国海军将开始对所有试图进入或离开霍尔木兹海峡的船只实施封锁，在国际水域拦截并查验所有向伊朗支付通行费的船只，同时清除伊朗在海峡布设的水雷。
特朗普称，伊朗曾承诺开放霍尔木兹海峡但未履行，他表示，伊朗“知道如何结束当前局势”。
目前，伊朗方面对此暂无回应。
