Roblox (RBLX) will take a share of revenue from game sponsorships as part of advertising policy overhaul, with more details to be shared in Q2, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing a company memo.
Beginning May 4, Roblox will update its guidelines to offer more clarity about ads on the platform, the report said, adding that content will be categorized as an ad if it involves paid collaboration with a brand or promotes an off-platform product.
The new policies may stop the wrong age groups or geographies from seeing ads that are not meant for them, according to the report.
Roblox did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
