Tesla (TSLA) is expanding its industrial energy storage business into India, according to a job opening posted on its website.
The job opening is for a business development lead tasked with heading the company's "entry into India for utility-scale energy storage," according to the posting.
Tesla Megapack is its large-scale energy storage division, with industrial battery manufacturing facilities in Lathrop, California, and Shanghai, China, according to the company's website.
India aims to boost its non-fossil fuel energy capacity from over 262 gigawatts by the end of 2025 to 500 gigawatts by 2030, according to a Reuters report on Friday.
