美联储理事克里斯托弗·沃勒周五表示，若就业市场出现疲软迹象，他将在今年晚些时候重新支持降息，同时对当前地缘政治局势可能带来的通胀压力保持警惕。
沃勒指出，霍尔木兹海峡关闭预示着更大的通胀压力，油价上涨最终可能影响核心通胀。他强调，当前的谨慎态度并不意味着今年余下时间将按兵不动。
其表态为市场提供了重要信号——降息窗口并未关闭，但前提是就业数据需出现明显走弱。
对就业数据存疑
沃勒坦言，在上次就业报告公布后，他原本以为自己会持反对意见。他表示，理性上明白就业数据的运行逻辑，但在直觉层面，他无法断言就业市场一切正常。
同日，美联储负责监管的副主席米歇尔·鲍曼表示，由于担心劳动力市场疲软，她预计今年将会有三次降息。
“我仍然对就业市场感到担忧，”鲍曼在接受福克斯商业频道采访时表示。“为了支持劳动力市场，我支持在2026年底前降息三次，”她说道。在本周的美联储政策会议上，FOMC成员一致决定今年只降息一次。
