Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Thursday

Financial stocks were leaning lower premarket Thursday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) declining by 0.6%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 1.7% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 1.8%.

Robinhood Markets (HOOD) stock was up 0.7% after the company said it unveiled several new products and features to expand its wealth management offerings.

Banco BBVA Argentina (BBAR) shares were down more than 2% after the company reported lower Q4 earnings.

Brookfield (BN) has received approval from the European Commission for the acquisition of sole control of Oaktree Capital Group, the regulator said. Brookfield shares were 0.3% lower pre-bell.
