Market Chatter: Big Tech Turning to Influencers to Promote Artificial Intelligence Tools

MT Newswires Live02-06 22:09

Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google and other tech companies are using social media influencers to attract new users to their artificial intelligence services, CNBC reported Friday.

OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta Platforms (META) are also paying creators to post sponsored content on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook, with some deals reaching hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to the report.

Some creators are paid up to $100,000 per post, while long-term partnerships can pay far more, CNBC said, citing industry experts.

While many creators are accepting these deals, others are turning them down due to ethical concerns or fear of backlash from audiences who are skeptical of artificial intelligence, the report said.
