1514 ET - Roblox's rollout of a new safety feature has been strong, going largely as planned with about 45% adoption so far, Raymond James analysts say in a note. The tool scans users' faces to estimate their age, and is required for accessing chat features on the platform. Based on its age-check data so far, Roblox saw its age distribution skew slightly younger than its previous estimates, which could give proof that it has farther to scale with higher-age cohorts than originally thought, the analysts say. The safety rollout has dented engaged hours growth by a mid-single-digit rate, an effect that should moderate, they say. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
