Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher on Friday morning, up 2.4% to 2,762.97 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by finance and technology company Eason Technology (DXF) and tech giant Baidu (BIDU), which climbed 34% and 12% respectively.
They were followed by travel agency Tuniu (TOUR) and data center operator GDS (GDS), which advanced 11% and nearly 8% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by electric vehicle maker Xpeng (XPEV) and commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab (ZLAB), which fell 1.7% and 1.1% respectively.
They were followed by utility Korea Electric Power (KEP), which declined 1%.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by tech companies Infosys (INFY) and Wipro (WIT), which rose 1.7% and 1.4% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which fell 2.5%.
