Spot silver extends rally to hit $70 per ounce for first timeDec 23 (Reuters) - Spot silver XAG= scaled $70 an ounce on Tuesday, driven by strong industrial and investment demand, tightening inventories, geopolitical tensions, and expectations of further U.S. rate cuts.
Silver prices were up 1.5% at $70.06 an ounce by 1314 GMT, after hitting an all-time high of $70.18/oz.
